What Happened to the Need for Speed Network for Need for Speed Rivals?

Has anyone who recently started playing Need for Speed Rivals years after it's original release date notice that the Need for Speed Network for Need for Speed Rivals is not available anymore? So much for wanting to unlock the Overwatch exclusive Bentley Continental Police vehicle. Wish EA would bring back the NFS network for need for speed rivals?

@Duty_Patrol1995 Need For Speed Network for NFS Rivals, NFS Rivals Mobile app, and Overwatch for NFS Rivals have all been permanently shut down on March 15, 2018. So anything (such as both the Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale and Bentley Continental GT V8) that can only be unlocked from the Overwatch functionality is permanently unobtainable now.

I got Need for Speed rivals for my PS4 but never got a chance to use the NFS network for my game. Why did EA get rid of the need for speed network for need for speed rivals and will they bring it back?

If EA were to bring it back, they could re-release Need for Speed rivals and make it a Remastered Edition with the current engine that EA and Criterion Games used to create Need for Speed Heat on, and make the Need for Speed Network compatible with every Need for Speed game released on consoles as a new Patch Update.

Does this then mean the 2 friend achievements (Friendly Race & Buddy Bust) are unobtainable as well?

@AbC6322a6245121 I don't think so, you just need to race and bust a buddy ingame if i understand it correctly.

Well, It can be obtained within the online servers... they are online and just require an online account from services like Playstation Network or Xbox Live. If you do manage to, you can play with other players and friends from your online account. Mind you, an EA account is different to the Playstation Network or Xbox Live

I've played off and on over the years and then got my children to play and it is frustrating that the "Overwatch" network play to unlock the other cars isn't available!!
