Started playing with Underground, from there:
- Underground 2 (one of my favorites)
- NFS Most Wanted (wasn't bad, was just spoiled from UG2)
- NFS Carbon (same as MW)
- NFS Pro Street (tried, didn't like it)
- NFS undercover (tried, didn't like it)
- NFS World (absolutely loved the game)
- NFS Shift (tried after World shutdown, didn't like it)
and those are the last I've played.
I was such a huge fan by NFS:U2 that I had a friend in the US ship me MW Black Edition (it was not available in the UK) - it cost me a freaking fortune - I think about 150 USD to buy the game and get it shipped and pay the taxes once it hit the UK. I really enjoyed it though so it was worth it.
I would never do that now though - EA lost their way and started using NFS to milk money out of its loyal fans. With NFS World everything just went insane - the money grab was real - in my mind they still haven't learned any lessons. I actually preferred The Crew to 2015 and it is pretty clear that NFS 2017 is directly competing with the Crew and stole some of their ideas (the old wrecks for example, the extreme offroad stuff...). If they don't include wheel support I am unlikey to buy this release.
@PaladineUK You can't say that Need for Speed stole any ideas from anyone. Forza Horizon had extreme off road events and that was out before the Crew. You can't blame EA for being diverse with this game by adding different race events and car types.
Yeah and Forza had old wrecks covered in rust hidden all over the map too did it - that you could discover and refurbish? Come on, there is a point where you go from being a fan to brainwashed. There are some very distinct similarities between NFS:Payback and The Crew to claim EA is being Diverse is just silly.
I don't necessarily believe these are bad features to add but at least be honest about it.- Im not brainwashed I am just a realist. To claim they are copying another game is ridiculous. Theres a difference between using influences and having similarities than copying another game. You have to find different parts in this game. They added another element. Forza you found the car and it was refurbished after a certain amount of time. Adding new elements is called diversification. Just like adding different investments to a portfolio. This gives you options as far as choosing races and the types of cars to build. Its not narrowed down to just drift or racing.
