You might look into whether your CPU supports Hyperthreading and whether or not that is enabled in your BIOS:

I was on a PS3
I just think I crashed to game and the road and everything around it besides the car was on the screen
Best part I did donuts with no smoke...sick

Please see the following article on PS3 safe mode options. We would like you to try using the Rebuild Database, option 4.
Please be very sure that you choose Rebuild Database and not any other option as those other options can wipe your hard drive which you definitely do not want.
