Why police helicopter in NFS HEAT being a chickin

First of all they flying too short way too short

They just talking angry while following from sky

Not trying to search again after lost visual player

Not trying to block or slow down player not even near the ground

Sometimes suddeny runaway ???

Why don't they actively pursuit like other series rivals, hot pursuit, most wanted, etc...

need for speed heat

    @Soldier49 I actually like that the helicopter simply flies around rather than dropping bombs or ramming you or anything stupid like that. the point of the helicopter is to be inescapable, it's always watching you and knows where you are so the only thing you can do is survive it until it leaves or evade it by driving into tunnels and alleyways and such. if anything, they should give the helicopter a range of awareness 3x bigger than a normal cop because it's flying around and could just generally see more

    LOL the helicopter is the joke of the game in cop Chase's. 

    I feel like it's mostly to give the sensation of intimation but is more like a harmless butterfly in the chase. 

    It would be wonderful if the helicopter would block the road or do actually tactics to stop us in Chase's.

    Sadly the Ghost Devs failed again.
