WIN 10, NFS Prostreet installation issues. Physical copy EA valuegames version.

Hello guys,

i have tried to install my physical copy of need for speed prostreet in the EA valuegames edition on my Win10 computer.
Halfway through the installation process the installation wont go any further in progress. That is the reason why im not be able to play or install the game.
I already had a conversation with the EA support which asking dumb questions like on which website did you purchase the game? i have sent them the physical copy of the game with the product key but they did have only treat this case like any other modern game. We are talking about a 17 years old game and the only reason im asking for help is that im not be able to purchase the game anymore in the origin store. But i have read a threat from 2016 on this site which said that you can ask here for help and if you tell them your product key they will sent you a digital key for the game. I can send you pictures no problem 🙂. I would like to replay the game because it´s in my opinion the best need for speed game till today.

I hope i´ll have more sucess here then with the other support team.

    Thanks for the additional information!

    For clarity I ask, as some things have changes since NFS Prostreet (and the thread you mentioned) first released. Generally following the steps in the following EA Help article will allow us to install the game. 

    Install your game using a disc

    If the steps mentioned above do not work, we can try the steps I share in my previous post in case were running into a technical or compatability based issue. However in some case, we may want to try and redeem the code if it is not already used or expired (This is mentioned in the link above, How to redeem your product and promo codes)

    However, if you would like you can reach out to an advisor to check if they are able to do anything differently as we are unable to directly assist with codes or accounts here on the forums. You can create a support case to reach out to an advisor using the link below:

    Hi @Elomice 

    To confirm we are unable to assist with account, payment, or order issues here on Answers HQ. 

    Please do not share any CD key you have as well will not be able to provide you with additional ones. 


    We can however, try running throug troubleshooting steps to see if we can get the installation finished. 

    To check have you tried redeeming the CD key you do have in the EA app client? Also to confirm where was the physcial disc and key purchased from?

    @EA_Illium I have tried to redeem the Disc product key in EA app but it´s not working. I bought the game in my local town like 16 or 15 years ago.

    Hi @Elomice 

    Do you get an error message or what happens when trying to redeem the key?

    Also, to confirm you purchased the game about 16 years ago and are trying to install it now? 


    When you have a moment we can also try the following when using the disc...

    @EA_IlliumFirst of all, when i bought the game there was no Origin or any other gamelauncher platform yet. The key is only for the installer of the physical copy of the game where you have to enter the product key while the installation progress. So why it should work in the EA/Origin launcher? I tried it but it´s not working. Im asking for a digital copy of the game because im not be able to install my physical copy of the game which was only mentioned to install physical and not digital. Im also not be able to buy the digital version of the game because EA removed it from the store.
