Just picked this up, I'm having this problem too. This seems a little ridiculous. It is very much hindering my experience of this game. It seems like this is an ignored issue. ☹️
WORKAROUND "FIX"...
Folks, i have been troubleshooting this issue today, with a few different kind of approaches.
Following method fixes the audio stutter 100%, at the expense of (non-audible) quality loss;
In your xbox system settings / audio / ...change "5.1 Dolby" in to "Stereo".
Now, to get your surround speakers back up and running...change playback profile on your amplifier to
a mode that "simulates" 5.1 audio.....There you have it, NFS Most Wanted without audio issues.
Let's still hope and pray EA patches this bug though.

First of all I'm not doing that workaround. I'm sure it might work so credit where credits due but I'm not going to give one game preferential treatment, at the expense of proper 5.1 four all my other games and movies etc. And no way am I turning it back and fourth just to play this game.
Having to do that just because of cheap game support doesnt sit well with me.
was playing fine with me, and like everyone else I'm running my Xbox to a 5.1 surround system via optical cable.
Since I did the 2.01GB multiplayer patch the sound cuts out, basically anytime where the sounds seems to come under load.
Devs, get the finger out and patch this!

I think you can also work around this issue by using a custom playlist. I hear the audio stuttering most often when tearning around on the freeway, but haven't noticed it since switching to a custom playlist. I guess the ideal solution would be to create a custom playlist of the NFS:MW soundtrack.Of course, this doesn't correct the unpleasant frame rate drops, but at least it's less apparent as audio isn't affected.Nope. This doesn't correct the issue at all.
EA any patches or fixes for this? It seems absurd that we get no patches for major problems like this. I'm going to no longer purchase EA games if this is the case. Between this game and Battlefield 4 I think I've had enough! Forza Horizon has no issues like this I guess Turn 10 will get my money from now on.
