Xbox One: Car gets stuck in open road and won't move

I've been trying to play this game for the last hour and it is completely worthless. Did anyone at EA bother to test this game at all? These intro screens without a bypass is just poor design, especially when you have to redo things because of a bug. Anyway, my problem is that my car will just freeze or get stuck in the middle of gameplay. The game is operational and the controls work (like I can turn on the siren), but the car is stuck at say 74 MPH even though the car is at a total standstill. I can reproduce this so easily it makes me wonder what EA is thinking in terms of QA. As a Software Engineer myself, I can tell you that software this buggy is never allowed out the door. I know these games are complex, but this is unacceptable. If EA can't fix it, they sold a nonworking product and should do us all the courtesy of a refund.
