Xbox one s controller issue on PC

I'm having a frustrating issue with my Xbox one s controller when playing on PC. I have the controller connected through Bluetooth the connection happened with no issues whatsoever but when I play need for speed and I'm accelerating the car is always slightly pulling toward the right. Also when I come to stop the car puts itself in reverse and starts braking/reversing I've tried restarting the game and PC numerous times reconnecting the Bluetooth with no fix. When I play using the keyboard this isn't an issue.
UPDATE: Have tried using the controller connected via USB and same problem perists have tried setting dead zone for braking and steering to 100%
UPDATE2: For the first time the game is now doing it even when using keyboard and having controller disconnected

Seem to have solved the issue thus far. I had started the game without any peripherals connected then once I was in the game I had connected my controller.

  • Can confirm this issue is still happening, especially as someone who plays on a laptop.

  • Uh...pirating their games isn't exactly going to be a step to solving any of their issues... I only just purchased my laptop in January and got my Xbox controller maybe a month ago and tried to play 2015 at the date of my earlier comment. It works fine via keyboard but the controls are just horrible without access to my mouse. Using my PS4 controller seemed to work better when I'd try in the past but it's not the same as the real thing (being the xbox controller). I hope more bumps on this threat can get someone to finally see it and let us know, I haven't been able to enjoy this game for years for multiple hardware factors for the PC version. I hope this is fixed soon.

I also want to note that someone on support told me that my Dell Inspiron 5559 could run this game so I understand the pain in people who clearly don't know what they're talking about, but at this rate, the best people can do is at least try, no matter how long it takes.

It looks like my first comment got deleted.

It won't solve anything pirating, yes, it was just meant just to show some negative reaction. I remember playing this game 4 or 5 years ago in summer and was very comfortable with it. I can't remember if I was playing with my now defective wired controller or if I already had gotten my wireless one. My bad luck is not just the broken cabled controller but also that the USB port in the wireless controller got corrupted just by playing with the controller wired to a USB port on the PC.

A little pulling seemed to be enough to break the contacts or something, so the option for the controller to get wired was forever gone and I used it via Bluetooth only - in newer games.

Yesterday I've had enough and smashed that damn thing. I had a second, totally new controller, but I will not wire that thing anytime. It's too dangerous I might corrupt that USB port on this one, too.

It's just a crappy situation overall. All that is left is to uninstall NfS 2015 for good and forget about this garbage game and also about them folks at Ghost Games.

I hope Criterion will do better with Hot Pursuit Reshade in three weeks.

Now you admins can delete my comment. I will never return to this place.

  • It's odd. It works fine for the other games I play that do support it but not for this. The only other game with issues would be Grid 2 but I think it's because of how the window is, I don't know.

I still hope someone is able to finally see this thread. I've held off buying any other NFS games for my laptop for this very reason. I have almost all of them on console anyway but don't have access to playing it. It really sucks. I may just forward this directly to someone if there's no avail.

  • My controller is connected via Bluetooth to the computer. I have tried to turn it one once the game was started, but there is no way. I have tried the game using the keyboard, and everything works fine. So the problem is definitively the Wireless Controller for Xbox One. Any new ideas to fix it? Thanks.

FYI. Using the USB cable works fine. It seems to be only over the Bluetooth connection.
