"Your connection to the game servers has been lost." - Need For Speed 2015 - PC

Spoiler

Hello everybody. I have recently bought DVD version of "Need For Speed" for my new PC. I install the game properly, and everything is OK. I press PLAY, the game loads, and then the error appears : "Your connection to the game servers has been lost. You will be returned to Need For Speed Network menu.". I have internet connection, I tried to disable it and enable it again in Windows Firewall, but the thing always repeats. If anyone has a solution, please help! I live in Serbia, but I bought the game in Germany, maybe it needs to be connected to German servers??? I don't know! I payed the game a lot, and I want to play it! If someone knows, reply me, I will owe you my life! HELP!!!!

I don't think all modems support UPnP in which case you would have to do the port forwarding. Enabling UPnP is however basically the same thing and much easier--go for it if it is available! And yes, I would also recommend to turn off the firewall for online gaming.

    Hope this helps.. 🙂

    Hi,

Try using a wired ethernet connection if you aren't doing so yet.  Additionally, what is the speed of your internet? (you can test that here).

Note that Need for Speed requires a persistent internet connection so if your connection is unstable you will have trouble connecting to the game. Be sure to also check the settings on your router such as enabling UPnP and disabling the firewall.

I am already using wired ethernet connection, my download speed is 10 megabits per second, and upload speed is about 1 megabit per second. But I always have internet, it gets the job done, I can download content, play online games and other things. How can I make changes to my router? Do I need to disable whole Firewall or just Need For Speed? When I asked you, I ask again : Does it matters with the country I bought the game? I mean I am from Serbia, but I bought the game from Germany. Well thanks, if you have time reply what I need to do with my router and Firewall.

It doesn't matter where you bought the game. You will still be able to connect online.

The firewall on my own router was enabled by default. which lead me to being unable to connect to certain games. Once turned off the problems went away. Check your routers manual, or contact your internet provider to see how you can change these settings.

Thanks a lot for your help, I owe you! When I got the internet for the first time, some guy came to my house and typed something, like 192.168.1.1 and set the password for the router. Now I tried to do it, but I don't know how to get the access, but I know someone who can help me with that. So I need to turn off the Firewall and enable uPnP? I don't need to open some UDP and TCP ports? Because I read at the forums and some people said I need to do that. Well, again, thanks for your help, I appreciate it!!!!

Thanks a lot, I owe you!!! I waited for the game to come out for about 1 year, when EA said they will make new Need For Speed, I was like : "Oh man, the new Need For Speed will come out! I have to buy it!" . I also have original Undercover, Underground, Underground 2 and Most Wanted 2012. I enjoy playing your games, especially I am a HUGE car enthusiast! Again, thanks for your help, I appreciate it, I will grant you 1 more XP, and accept it as answer. THANKS AGAIN AND BYE!!!!
