💬 Volume 7 Drag Mode - Looking for feedback!💬

Hey Racers,

💬 Looking for feedback! 💬

We’ve introduced Drag Mode in Vol. 7 💪

This mode redefines racing in NFS Unbound with a fresh approach when you need to take a break from the circuits.

It's a deep dive into the essence of street racing, where the thrill comes from manual gear shifts, strategic lane changes to dodge obstacles, and perfectly timed nitrous boosts.

Offering a challenge for up to four players, it's not just about the fastest car but the sharpest driver. Drag playlists are also now added to PVP and Free Roam.

  1. What are your thoughts on Drag Mode so far?
  2. Would you change or add anything to improve the experience?
  3. Has it added more variety to your gameplay experience?
  4. Would you like to see us invest more in gameplay experiences like this?
  5. What kind of cars and customization options for drag builds would you like to see added in the future?

Share your thoughts below or on the team's post 👇!!!

  • when you guys can`t even manage to put me in the PVP race that I click on you do not need to worry about anything else , but since you asked , never tried Drag , and never will , just like with Drifting , this is a need for speed game , not a need to go slow slideways , or no need to turn and just go with full gas like an idiot game , need for speed is what the game called , maybe time to understand that what that means and stop trying to become something no need for speed players want , because right now you are catering to the Forza and alike players , we do not want drift , nor drag , we want tons of races staring every 60 seconds , that is what a need for speed game is

  • 1. Drag mode is a great addition. It seems that muscle cars have just as much chance to be competitors as any other vehicle.

    2. Adding the chance of overheating motor or breaking something if shifts are way off.

    3. Drag mode has definitely added variety to the gameplay experience. Its another way to work toward car unlocks.

    4. PLEASE invest more into gameplay experiences like this.

    5. More muscle cars. Cars that you may not ever think to be fast. Sleepers. Also adding slicks and the ability to pop a wheelie if the vehicle is built in a certain way. Add supercharger blowers that extend above the hood of the cars. And add the ability to change front and rear ride height. As it is now, cars like the 69 camaro and the 69 dodge charger cant be made to have flush fitment without the use of fender flares.

But the devs are doing an awesome job with the support for this game. I am sure that they are underpaid for the results that they are producing.

@CrashingTiger Are you unaware that drift and drag were in NFS UG2? What about drag races in NFS Most Wanted? Drift in Carbon? Drift and drag in Prostreet? I'm not sure how you can come to this conclusion when both race types have been a staple in the franchise for decades

you are cute , first of all both of those were addition to NFS games , need for speed did not started in the 2000`s , it was a street racing game with cops chasing you , the fast and furious fever put those stupid modes in the games , and they were not popular at all , we did the events once because we had to for progression , never touched them again after that , and if you ask anyone why they buy a NFS game they will not say for drifting , because this is not a wheel game , and we do not want it to become one , this is an arcade racer , this game is more like a Wipeout XL game than a "driving" game , so when they try to make it a driving game it stops being a NFS game , all we want if crazy speed , nitro , items to mess with others , and good music , realism can go to where to sun does not shine, so if you want to drift , or drag , go play a sim , NFS is not the game to waste resources on those foolish modes

@CrashingTiger I'm well aware that NFS didn't come out in the 2000s. Who cares what it originally was? Thats not what they are now. Its no ones fault but your own that you dont know what current car culture is.

Your claim that NFS UG 2 and MW weren't popular is laughable. Those games alone are two of the highest selling games in the franchise.

Notice I said that drift and drag racing have been staples for decades, as NFS UG, UG2, MW, Carbon, and Prostreet came out in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and 2007 which was decade/s ago. I suggest you learn proper reading comprehension before telling someone they're wrong. I've been playing this franchise for a long time. My first one was NFS 3. One of my favorites was Hot Pursuit 2. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the franchise.

Saying what you buy NFS for is not the same as what everyone else buys it for. You're using your opinions as fact for everyone else. You don't represent the community nor the players. You don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to "what people buy the game for".

    1. Drag Mode could be better. Overall it felt clunky. Still a far cry better than Drift Pro Mode at least.

    2. I would change the shift up/shift down mechanic from the Left and Right Bumpers to the Right Thumb Stick.

    3. Yes and no. If it wasn't required for racing Rivals, I would have tried it, and probably gone back to normal racing.

    4. Unsure. Investing more time into mechanics like this does take away from the rest of the game, but not adding anything new makes things stagnant.

    5. I would like to see full roll cages, wheelie bars, parachutes, air intake coming out of the hood, stuff like we saw with the Chevy Bel Air, Ford Mustang (1965), Volkswagen Beetle, and the like from Need For Speed Payback.

    1. What are your thoughts on Drag Mode so far?
    2. Nice addition but there should be less turns on the layouts
    3.
    4. Would you change or add anything to improve the experience?
    5. The Burnout fan in me wants ramps. 😁
    6.
    7. Has it added more variety to your gameplay experience?
    8. Definitely, I ended up enjoying them more as a solo thing tho to tune my cars
    9.
    10. Would you like to see us invest more in gameplay experiences like this?
    11. New gameplay modes...yes. More drag races...no. maybe add some daytime events like sanctioned races but that's it.
    12.
    13. What kind of cars and customization options for drag builds would you like to see added in the future?
    14. Funny car body kits. You already gave us two or three and none of the  vehicles have a proper drag build
