Add an option to turn off the effects.

The effects are annoyingly childish, but not all of us are kids! I've played all parts of NFS but this one already gave me the rest with the first trailer last year. I was extremely disappointed and didn't know what to think of it.
Then there was an announcement that you can turn off the effects, but again that was just a statement to appease the community. What remained were the same tire effects only in dark grey, absurd and ridiculous.
Meanwhile, EA has confirmed that the effects cannot be turned off, as this is a distinctive feature of the game.
If you give us the ability to turn off the effects, more people will buy Unbound. I don't understand why EA doesn't respond to our wishes as customers, the screaming to switch off the effects is very big after all.
The only thing that has been achieved so far is that many fans of the NFS series are turning away from it and fundamentally losing faith in EA/Criterion. Is that what you want? Because that's what you get...

I'd like to play it, but not under these circumstances. The characters are bearable because you don't have to see them all the time. The effects, on the other hand, are omnipresent.
Normal tire smoke shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

  • The only way I found to minimize these effect is to drive with either the bumper/hood view. You will still see them ocasionally but not as bad as the other views, plus if you can lead the race then you rarely see these effects at all. And yes they are annoying...
