Bodykits from NFS' Past I'd like to see come back to the franchise.
Since I'm waiting for a fix to my issues, I thought it would be a good use of my time to go over a few bodykits that have been in the franchise over the years I would like seeing again in some way shape or form.
Now here's a point to note: All the Bodykits included in this List have been featured in NFS Shift 2 Unleashed and NFS The Run, as modern NFS Titles have recently pulled kits from this era that exist in NFS Unbound, Such as the 370Z's Speedhunters Kits, the Mclaren F1's The Works Bodykits, among others that I might be forgetting... It's also important to note that these are "NFS Originals" Meaning that Licensing issues may not be as difficult to these in particular (However still possible I assume)
With that out of the way Here's a list with visual examples:
The TOP 3:
1.- Stage 3/"Time Attack Pack" Evo X Bodykit:
An Easily recognizable classic originating from the Blackbox era games. Of all Kits in this list, this is the one I would like the see back the most simply due to it's appearance in games like Undercover, Shift 2, The Run, and of course, Ryo Watanabe's Evo X from Prostreet, this is a top contender that could also help the Evo X get some variation to it's customization. (And Fun Fact: Uber Motorsport build an IRL Kit inspired by this design to compete in professional racing)
2.- Stage 3/"Time Attack Pack" RX-7 Bodykit
This Bodykit pays obvious homage to one of the RX-7's Most famous tuning garages, which is also a popular kit for the RX-7 in other forms of media like Anime and Manga. Seen for the First time in Shift 2 Unleashed. it could be a great addition to the RX7's Customization options.
3.- Stage 2/"Hero"/"Ana Rivera's" 350Z Bodykit
This bodykit has made as recent of an aparition as NFS Heat included it as an "Unobtainable" bodykit for Ana's personal 350Z.
I don't see the reason for keeping this one unobtainable to players seeing as it is ready for the current game engine's use, and the 350Z already being a car with a low part count..
This bodykit has also appeared in Shift 2 Unleashed, and in Most Wanted (2012) as a part of the "Heroes" DLC
Here's some other bodykits I'd like to see to add variety to some cars that, while not as iconic, or important Still add some variety to some older models that may or may not have gotten much love after NFS 2015:
BMW:
- The Run's "Racer Pack" M3 E92 Bodykit
Chevrolet:
- The Run's Retro Racer Pack Camaro SS Bodykit
- The Run's Circuit Racer Pack Corvette C6 Bodykit
Dodge:
- S2U's "The Works" Charger R/T Bodykit
- The Run's "Retro Racer" Challenger SRT8 Bodykit
Honda:
- S2U's Stage 3 S2000 Bodykit
Lamborghini:
- The Run's "Aeropack" Murcielago SV Bodykit
Mazda:
- Aforementioned RX-7 Stage 3 Kit
- S2U's Stage 2 RX-7 Bodykit
- S2U's Stage 2 RX-8 Bodykit
Mercedez Benz:
- S2U's Stage 3 190E Evo Bodykit
Mitsubishi:
- Aforementioned Evo X Kit
- S2U's Stage 3 Evo IX Bodykit
Nissan:
- Aforementioned 350Z kit
- S2U's "The Works" 2000 GT-R Bodykit
- The Run's "Retro Racer Pack" Failady 240ZG Bodykit
- The Run's "Style Pack 1" and "Track Day Racer" Skyline R32 Bodykits
- S2U/The Run's Stage 2/"Drifting Pack" and Stage 3 Silvia S14 Bodykits
Pontiac:
- The Run's "Pro Touring Pack" Firebird T/A Bodykit
Subaru:
- S2U's Stage 3 Impreza WRX GDB-F Bodykit
- The Run's "Time Attack Pack" Impreza WRX GR Bodykit
Little note I'd like to add: I'm not expecting all of these kits to appear in Volume 8, or even in Unbound at all, I'd be pleasently surprised if so, but this list is mostly for archival in future games.
Have a good one
Zino Out.
