You didnt even read my review. I said you can switch off the effects by choosing cloaked effect. But I agree this should not be even in game or be optional, game looks cheap with those effects. I had to google how to remove the effects.
Multiplayer racing is great but I also wrote this is worst multiplayer system I ever seen. Lobby with 16 players is joke, starting new event after every race is tedious and bad if you need to go through whole map or through garage. As I said half of my 300 hours is waiting. There should just be matchmaking, you choose tier and go. Multiplayer feels so lonely how many ppl bought the game and why am I only playing with 15 players? Does the game has such low population they couldnt fill lobby with 100 players?
Drifting si viable but is hard, just seen the build video from Magic about drift F40 on youtube so you can check it and learn from it, he did 2:00 on Blue Collar which is insane.
Music is good and I like a lot, only song I dislike is the French motorsport autobahn which is really cringe.
The game has mixed review on steam, majority of negative feedback is how hard and unfair AI, is, annoying cops and the cartoon effects, those problems should be fixed in first weak of release, are not fixed today yet.
graphics and sound with the highest rating? When I read that I knew the rating was exaggerated.
And yet i agree on both points, the graphics for the most part are really good, and the playlist I'm not even going to really address due to the fact that its personal preference but y'all blasting him over his review? Come on man, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, you don't have to agree with his perspective of the game but y'all dont need to blast him for it either. This game is obviously going to be hit or miss with players due to the changes made so just be understanding of that, its not gonna be for everyone, but personally after heat being the first NFS I've played in years then moving to unbound I think it's a step in the right direction @Desper934 Great review!
I am old I played first NFS at release then I really like 3,4,5 Underground and Most wanted. MW was last I played so Unbound really reminds me MW and Underground. I tryied some newer but didnt like it at all any of them.
About the soundtrack: I remember NFS 3 had two playlists techno and rock to choose. Why in 2022 we cant choose songs or type of music, I dont know two ppl witch same taste for music.
Sorry i am old too, i also played the NFS Series on the 1st Playstation, then Underground 1 and 2 on the PC and the next Series again on Playstation. Underground 1 and 2 and Most Wanted are my Favourite Parts of the Series. But to be honest: i don‘t see much Progress on the newest Parts of the Series.
They used the Code Base of Heat but the Police, Drifting and much other Things like Tuning got worse. I don't believe any car in unbound has more than 1000hp. not from the sound and not from the performance.
Two developers made a Remake of Underground 2 and they have way more progression in one year, than some developer studios like Criterion in 3 years:
I would buy this immediately, just look at the Customization Options, there are so many Spoilers, Hoods, Mirrors and so on.
and you can also customize the Interieur, the color of the Headlights does also affect in the open world.
When i look to this, Unbound is definitely not a step in the right direction but 10 steps back..
They also took some Tracks from other Parts, so i really like the Music here.
