I'm so angry at the decal editor. Pls. get this improved in the next update!!

NFS Unbound's decal editor is just the same as Heat, and the other past NFS games by Ghost. The features of the editor didn't improve, and I'm very, very disappointed. And angry. Many fans have been requesting for more improved features in the editor, like adding decal grouping, making the decal limit higher at least 1,000 decals, and making decal minimum resize smaller (since it's still chunky), and etc. We really wanted the type of decal editor like The Crew 2, but Unbound's decal editor is just so annoying. All they did was swap the controls and add new decals, but what's the improvement there? That's not even an improvement! An improvement is to make something better, but no, Unbound's editor is still nothing. Why didn't it change all of the sudden?

Plus, Criterion said that new changes will be introduced in the editor, but this was just PURE FALSE ADVERTISING! They only swapped the controls and added new decals and fonts to claim that the editor had new improved changes. But the truth is that it didn't. There no new features but those same features like Heat. And this is why Criterion made a false advertisement about the editor in Unbound. SHAME ON YOU CRITERION !!

I HOPE THEY JUST IMPROVE THIS IN THE NEXT JANUARY UPDATE !!

Also, the decal editor isn't just the only problem for one of the game's features. There are other lacking features of the game like the NFS 2015 Style Ride Stance. Man, just take away the airbag, or here's a better solution to add both the tune stance and the airbag. If ride height is 50% lower, airbag could be used, but you cannot lower the car less than 50%. Also, for bumper and hood camera, there is no 360 degree rotation. It's just the same side by side rotation. One of the other lacking features are coloring the character's hair, eyes, and lips with custom colors. Now, we just select. Can't we just color them with custom colors like in Heat? Also, the last and most annoying feature of the is the part removal. Man, that's what we've been waiting for, but sadly, it's only limited to the front and rear bumper and the side skirts. There was no option for the hood. Also, part delete cost money too, unlike Heat where you just press triangle (in PS) too delete the part.

Pls fix this Criterion. I don't wanna hate this game. The game is great, but still has many flaws when it comes to efficient features for the game.

  • It’s the fact I can’t use periods or dashes or really any symbol when typing out a word or a website for instance for example (www.v-opt.co.jp). Also I do agree with the ride stance/ lowering issue. The cars look like monstertrucks.

  • @AXELUUUTrue. The Crew 2 and Forza Horizon might be much better. I don't have Forza Horizon or The Crew 2, but in my theory, it's much better than NFS' decal editor. Although, I've seen some criticism about the decal editor in Forza Horizon and TC2, but looking through the features, its what NFS lacks. That's why making anime wraps in NFS are so hard and bad, especially that the decal limit is 300, unlike Forza, that's why the anime wraps are much detailed and better its due to their advanced decal editor features.

Also, to your question "The ability to paint car parts separately like the spoiler and hood", yes. Well, the separation doesn't really matter to me, but when I first played Heat, I got confused. "Where's the hood area?", but then I realized it was from the top (hood, roof, and trunk lid).

Also, you couldn't paint the splitter. I wanted to paint the Subaru BRZ's RB splitter, but the decal's only limited to the front bumper. How come we we're able to paint the side skirts and the fenders? The Volkswagen Golf MKI's Forge splitter is the only one that could be painted with decals. In Unbound, I've experienced most cars with this problem when painting splitters and spoilers. This should be improved (not fixed as this is not a bug) in the next update of the game. And of course, they still should add the proper improved features we've been waiting and worrying for as it's already too much and they still never improved it.

@lichti2108 The livery editor was flawed since the past NFS games (2015, Payback, and Heat) and yet, Criterion never improved it until now in Unbound, even if we've been requesting, expecting, or worrying about the major flaws of the editor since Heat. But still, Criterion, or maybe their employees who created this, never cared about it, which is why so many NFS fans are so mad, claiming that EA just cares about the money than improvement. I could I agree that EA and Criterion are like that cause they never did improve the NFS franchise, but all they do is take advantage of the past (i.e. old) NFS games and just make the graphics better so they could claim that it's an improvement, but they never cared much about fixing the rest of the features and patching the bugs. Just take a look at The Run, why many hated it so much.
  • Yeah,

    They should add:

Custom decals and sharing them like in Forza.

More decals, like brand decals, there were more of them in the previous NFSs.

The ability to paint car parts separately like the spoiler and hood.

The ability to add decals to the spoiler, you can apply stickers to the windshield and windows but not on the spoiler lol.

  • oh man.. this game has some serious bugs, glitches and other major errors and you are claiming about the decal editor..
