Quick Race mode has to come back
The Quick Race mode used to be one of the most fundamental features of any racing game back in the day. Essentially, it lets you pick any car, any track, set up rules like the opponents number and class, number of laps, time of day, weather, traffic density and the presence of cops. In other words - you can create a custom race and then play it without it affecting your career progression.
The series had this mode since the very beginning (TNFS from 1994 - back then it was known as Single Race), the first mainstream NFS without Quick Race was Hot Pursuit 2010 (also NFS World from 2009, but that was an MMO) which IMO severely affected the game's replay value, at least for those who preferred playing solo and didn't really care about Autolog. I have no idea why EA decided not to include such a basic feature.
The absolute worst offender to this is NFS The Run, with its ridiculously short campaign. The devs decided to add Challenge Series mode, which still only allows the player to use a handful of cars. Some of the vehicles are not playable in single player portion of the game at all. There is no replay value whatsoever.
It could be especially useful in NFS Unbound, where there are only a few races available each day, with car class restrictions. Not only it would enable players to spend some more time and have fun with their favourite ride, but it would also let them test different car builds without risking their money.
I mean, even Forza Horizon has introduced Blueprints (which is essentially Quick Race under different name) in its third instalment.
Come on, NFS!
