Re: What happened to Toyota and Audi

There is a lot going on in this post so I'll try and answer to the best of my ability.

Toyota hasn't allowed their cars in games involving illegal street racing since NFS 2015. Their excuse is stupid as they think people will want to drive their cars in game vs real life. Poly had a license yes, but Poly can not legally stop Toyota from allowing their cars in other games. To suggest that doesn't make sense as that is up to Toyotas discretion plus, Toyota is in FH5.

As far as Audi, it's more than likely a funding or licensing issue as Audi is also in FH5.

@XGCSithTrue. Now I get it. I was so stupid for blaming and judging Gran Turismo for Toyota's reluctance from being in other racing games. And for Audi, we don't know, but it's like when Ferrari was not in Payback, due to licensing issues. It's not the mentality of illicit street racing, except Toyota has that mentality.

  • @XGCSith I agree Toyotas reason is not valid, since they allowed their cars in the first Fast and furious movies and also the first chav NFS games Underground etc. But remember Forza Horizon is legal street racing, since you are managing a music and car festival.

Thats why you dont see cops in those games, yes there are illegal street racing at night, but they have nothing too do with the festival scene.
When it comes too Audi i dont know, mayby they are more interesting in legal track racing because they are interested in joining Formula 1.

Plus they are also in Le Mans and GT racing too mention a few, yes they are also in FH and FHM, because those games are in the legal racing genre.

Same also goes for Ferrari the biggest reason you couldent use their cars, in etc Need for speed 3 Hot Pursuit 1 and High Stakes\Road challenge- Was because Ferrari had no interest having their cars involved in illegal street racing or police chases, Lamborgini couldent care less about that.

That is why Lamborigini has apeared in all NFS games except from UG1 and UG2 and offf course Porsche Unleased from 2000.
  • @BVBgamer88 Ferrari is a tricky problem since they stopped give EA license in 2003 following cop chase+interior view in HP2 PS2 challenge. They return in Rivals(which was a big selling point of that entry) but still can't be customized with any unofficial kits(Ferrari only allows official race car kit in Ghost entries) The only exception is Shift with X360 exclusive DLC pack that's allowed by exchanging Porsche license with MS Forza series.

@GEARKNOBS3512 Yeah i agree with you but i dont think Ferrari needs too be customized, because those cars are allready perfect as stock. Too be honest i have allways prefered ,stock supercars because they are fast expensive and exlusive.

Tuners are just boring every day cars that are so common it isent even funny. Etc Wolksvagens Volvos scoda Fiats etc, BMW and Audis are exceptions since they are still making cool cars.

But my point is Ferrari stopped giving EA the licence because they would not risk losing customers,if they cars where involved with illegal street racing and police chases.
  • @BVBgamer88 But the point of avoiding street racing wasn't true due to Ferrari's inclusion in early NFS entries and recent comeback.Even without custom or bodykit 90s NFS is still mostly about illegal street racing (except NFSII which lacked police feature) Real reason may be Ferrari just didn't like EA and asked for unacceptable price for licenses. This isn't a problem now since Ferrari continue to be in all entries since Rivals (including mobile game No Limits)
  • Tbh if Toyota is fh5 then we could possibly see them in nfs?? I dunno tho. Fh5 has tons of illegal street racing nd allat so I don’t think the real reason for not wanting to be in nfs is the street racing stuff. Might just be licensing or having a contract with microsoft
