Speed Limit why ?

Curious why this is a thing, all cars ale locked to speed 245 miles per h which is 395 Km.Im suprised this is in the game, Cars like Bugatti or regera can easily go over 395 but for some reason we have a speed limit, Sure then what is the point of making and putting this cars to the game which can go faster, pushing players into mistake because they thing this cars can actually reach over 400km top speed, then seeing speed is limited, For me its pretty stupid move, Personally I didn't made that mistake thank god, Because speeding 3.5mln on Bugatti and cant reach the top speed will make me so bad, I really hope this will be fixed, because I don't rly understand idea of doing speed limited or making cars which can go over that but game doesn't let them,

  • I think it has something to do with the graphic cards in the consoles.  Plenty of times when driving the Regera  at high speeds I see the scenery being drawn ahead of me.  This also happened in Rivials on my ps3.  I would be driving so fast 280mph that I would run out of pavement and the car just froze in that spot. I could be wrong but that's the only reason that they might limit the cars speed.  I,m sure if you have a high end pc you would be fine, but we have cross play.

    Sure mate that's totally makes sense, but if that is the case, so we should have correct description of the cars.

  • @HepsonikI hate this thing. But my thoughts about this:
    In HP10 and MW12 they used definitely different engine game, so the cars were working fine with the high speed. Enviroment render fast enough, no bugs at all.

    After they attached the FROSTBITE to NFS then the bad things happened. Take a look at the Rivals: super cool looking game, in a visual aspect but if you go 400kmph+ the game freeze sometimes, enviroment wont load, traffic & Ai spawns 5mtrs ahead of you.
    So in the next NFS aka NFS2015 they limited the game to 380/390kmph. Yep, less bugs, more playable. But bugs from Rivals were appearing, but the bugs werent that intense.

    In Payback the used still same engine, but with a lower enviroment quality & shades, textures etc and Regera reached the 425kmph, but also bugs were appearing.
    Then Heat came out, better textures, visual quality. So again limit to 395kmph. Same with Unbound.
    I think the problem is ENGINE and how lazy the devs are to let us drive in a real stock speed of Bugatti or Regera. BIG L for NFS 🙂 🤡

    @XX4NICATE- Frostbite is the answer.
    In the NFS MW12 on PS3 you were able to drive 452kmph with no problem. Engine used - Chameleon.
    NFS Rivals - Frostbite. Even the devs were complaining about this * engine. Looks cool, works worse.
