I have now gotten the problem twice, I did my first playthrough, or I should say attempt of a playthrough, with the Nissan, bought a bodykit, one of the less expensive ones before I got the prompt to buy the legendary so I thought I had broken the game with that. I went and deleted my save, since you apparently can't start a new career at that point, started with the Dodge this time and waited for the point in the story when they make you buy the legendary custom bodykit, I did and it dropped the car to Class B again. Now the car drives as an A+, but it is showing the super generic stats of an untuned B car with a top speed of lol 100 km/h. Would appreciate a fix! Also weirdly enough there isn't much information on the web about this, other than this post and one reddit post, where people don't even understand the query.

@ReDevils07Ok, I have an update, I don't know which step fixed it, but here is how it went: I modified the legendary bodykit, drove around, alt+f4ed out of the game, reopened it, drove back to Rydell's, went into bodykits and reequiped the non custom version of the legendary kit and it reset the car to A+. Before that straight up swaps of kits didn't change anything, so again I have no idea if it was the exact steps I did that fixed it, or just one of them. Hope it might help anyone else that was frustrated with this bug!
Edit: Problem persists past the prologue and can't upgrade cars to match game requirements, lmfao, sorry EA but I am not going to continue troubleshooting your game, please do that yourself 🙂
