Everything I try click on goes back to what was equipped on the model I first chose. The models I can change reverts back to the original model when I leave the garage. Some of them I cant select, like the first model.

When I deleted my save data and created a new save, I was able to customize my character just fine. When I restored my old save, I was once again unable to customize my character.
I initially went to make my character, but decided to do it later and backed out of the menu. And at one point either before or after this, the Lakeshore Online panel switched from showing Travis Scott to the default girl player model without me starting the mode.
Further attempts to make my character since have a resulted in being forced back to the default model.
I'm not too knowledgeable on this sort of thing, but it definitely seems to be something with info cached in the save file either not having enough room for a customizable multiplayer character after proceeding too far with the campaign, or the save cache storing the default female model as an unchangeable hash after backing out of the screen at the start.
The sooner this is fixed the better.. I want my car game dress-up!!!

I too have deleted my save from console and am able to make and edit my character I definitely believe this means my save file is corrupt for some reason due to not fully completing the initial process of creating my online character.
Only thing that I lost was progess towards my challenges and collectibles and builds my 150000 for the premium order of palace edition and palace edition content was there on new save so nothing I spent money on was lost just 3 days of process but I'm no longer a girl lol yay now I can stream the game and my number one gripe is fixed

I play offline storymode and after that i try to join a friend after creating my character and i noticed the same problem the character reverted back. I play on PS5 and my gamer id is: Mear_TTV . I hope this will be fixed because i reinstall the game several times and nothing change.

I also have the same problem, I equipped my character at the beginning, today I wanted to change it, and different clothes, etc., and that's no longer possible. I play PS5
I had the same issue. Re-installed the game and deleted the console game file, while still having my old data file on the cloud on PlayStation. Doing all that I can now customize my character BUT, I lost all my Palace Edition content. All cars, all clothing, everything gone and I can’t get it back even with my old cloud file. PSN is SportyNico11. This is frustrating.
First update is out. Still can't customize online character. So much for all the hype
Is there a way to resolve this issue yet as I am still experiencing it?
