Can't customize online character

I'm on PS5 and having the same problem.

I got to customize my character early on but his customisation as well as my tag type and sound options are all frozen on where I last left them.

My vehicles tag is actually gone completely. I have zero animated effects drifting, no contrail from tailights, nothing. When I'm in online play. In story the effects still work.

When I'm in online if i try to select other tags or vanity options the game pauses briefly and then teleports my cursor to the first selection at the top, but never actually changes anything.

I tried restarting, also uninstalled and re-installed the game.

My online playthrough still has zero driving effects present, no tag equiped, with no option to attempt and equip a new one.
