Can't launch NFS Unbound on Steam

I cannot boot up need for speed unbound, whenever I click NFS unbound on steam it starts to load up the game on EA app and then stopping and acting like nothing happened. I had re downloaded the game and cleared caches. My graphics drivers are up to date and every other game works fine. Just bought the game and am disappointed i have to go through all this struggle just to play a game.

I also have this problem but if I try to install it of the EA app it just straight up wont install.

Stop being a bot for a second. the issue is still not fixed ! This is 2024!

I have the same problem, I run the game via Steam, EA App shows up and that's it. It doesn't work... I'm disappointed because I wanted to get this title but I will have to return it.

I had the same issue today. I tried out a few changes. But in the end what worked for me was to remove (or in my case simply zip and rename) the folder "qmlcache" in the folder %localappdata%\Link2EA\cache. Afterwards i was able to start the game from steam. 

In addition to that I added before hand manually the EADesktop.exe and the game .exe (like "<steamlibrary>\common\Excalibur\NeedForSpeedUnbound.exe") in the windows firewall as exception (both were not explicitly in my list beforehand)

What helped me was clearing the EA app cache, as this forced EA to upgrade versions on my relaunch.

Are you still having these issues? I finally got around to trying the game out and it fails to load and the tips provided don't help me at all.
