When you have a moment can we give the following a try?
- Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Close other running applications on your device
- Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode first then try again.
Thanks!
hi again Illium, i tested the steps now on game version 7.1.0 and i can confirm that even clean booting does not prevent the crashes. I finished one race of a playlist and got a crash before the second. i suspect the problem is somewhere within the animation or camera angle when the game is showing you your player character behind the wheel (like in the attached image that i nabbed off a review by TheGamer), as that is the angle at which the hangs occur.
And to reiterate, my Radeon driver version is still 24.5.1 as AMD haven't released an update since.

First of all, change the name of the d3dcompiler_47.dll file in the folder where the game is installed to d3dcompiler_47.bak.
The problem is not related to the graphics card or driver. I also use an AMD graphics card and AMD processor. The dxgi.dll extracted from the reshade I mentioned before solved all my problems. I've come across the mentioned error once or twice since Vol 3. It is already written in the error message that there is a DXGI problem. So it's a file problem. I am adding the dxgi.dll file I use. If you want, you can extract the zip file to the folder where the game is installed and try it.
While the game is opening, you may see some messages at the top of the screen. Don't care. These are the messages you receive because you only added the dxgi.dll file without reshade installed.
Since I don't like the music of the game, I also listen to music from Spotify in the background. So it has nothing to do with background applications.
dxgi.dll download

yeah unfortunately renaming the d3dcompiler and using the dxgi dll you provided doesn't stop the crashes either. i don't quite know how exactly you did it but after i change the extension, the EA App notices it and tells me that the game needs repairing. then it downloads the .dll again.
i had installed reshade and that don't fix it either.

I'm playing on steam. Maybe this is why a different situation occurs. In this case, it is almost impossible to know whether the problem is in the EA app, the game or the graphics card driver. You can do it like this, you can try it with AMD's driver number 22.11.2. This is the driver the game recommends. But the old one, naturally. At least if it works, it will be obvious that it is from the driver.
My PC is completely AMD and runs smoothly via Steam. But my laptop has an nvidia graphics card and I play via EA Play, so there is no such problem on it either. The game is problematic, we have to admit that. The problem may not necessarily be yours.
