Hi Guys,having a bad time with your new NFS Game. Unfortunately my game crashs during Gameplay with the attached DX12 Error. Error comes 100% after about 1 to 8 Minutes of gaming.I am running the New ASUS 4080 RTXWin10 Pro 64 10.0 Build 19045MSI - 7a63 Boardi7-7700K16k RAMI already tried:- Clean reinstall of my Graphic Card Driver (Game Ready)- Studio Driver- Underclock my GPU- Turn off XMP in my Bios- Windows Update / Update all my drivers- Ultra/lowest Graphic Settings ingame- Memory Test 0% ErrorsAm I the only one having this kind of issues right now? Please help 🙂Thanks!!Possible workaround for ultra wide screen users till we hopefully get a fix in a future patch. I can confirm working condition with no DX Hung Errors with lowering resolution to <3440x1440. Played for > 1 hour with no crashes till now.

This isnt all it is though, its great you found one of the many combinations being affected by this issue that have already been addressed here a few times in this thread so not necessarily new, but there's plenty of people playing on regular 16:9 resolution still having the issue, this problem has nothing to do with resolution, so lets stop acting like thats the fix and try to focus on getting EA to give us some sort of resolution

@EA_Barry if you do not have a deep understanding of the problem here - you will not be able to provide a valid solution. And you didn't even bother to read the comments here. Please do not post generic advises - we are already past the video card driver testing.

Are EA going to acknowledge this or not. I have a 4080 16GB, 5800X3D, 32GB ram, win11 fully updated, Acer 38s 3840X1600 resolution, latest drivers.No other problems in any other games, from MSFS 2020, X-Plane, cyberpunk, RDR, etc etc etc . This game just constantly crashes, no communication, no pro active response, no fix, no nothing! I will cancel my pro sub soon and never bother again, it's all a total waste of time. I am absolutely sick of the lack care you show your customers, you just don't care it seems. This is a major problem, it's either your game, or you need to tell Nvidia to be pull finger out, because something is desperately wrong.

Right now I am in 2nd level technical support and they try to reproduce the error with their own hardware.Please if you have the DX Hung error get in touch with NVIDIA Support here https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/support/ Initially they will send you a standard message like the EA Staff here. After that write that "it is a very complex error, please forward my case to 2nd or 3rd level support".We need more attention to get this fixed.

Some good news and some bad news today.The other RTX4080 arrived. Bad news: Crashes still there with the other RTX4080. Card suddenly peaks to 100% GPU Usage out of the nowhere and crashes. Crashes come not that frequently as with the ASUS card but still less then 20 minutes.Good news: Your graphic cards are not broken. 😀EA and / or NVIDIA need to fix it.

@EA_David Started the game and did not want to start directly with the story so it went into free roam and then the character creation when I was done with it I pressed my appearance and then it crashed. Now it also crashes before the main menu so I can't try that with the story unfortunately. Same after repairing 😢

Update: now i wanted to Change the upscaler cause i Play with DLSS than i Crash every time
Direct3D could Not allocate sufficient memory to complette the call

For Testing Purpose I tried another Game BF2042. I also get a DX12 Error after 15 Mins of Gaming. But a different one,

I don't get any DX12 Errors while playing Ark Survival Evolved. Tested for 8 Hours.

Hi, this was split off from the other thread as it seems to have a separate base cause.

Can you start with a Clean Boot, make sure any overlays and such are closed down, they're often a factor if you're seeing GPU instability.

If the issue still persists, it's worth trying a driver reinstall, if there are driver issues this will hopefully help.

Did some Testing with Cyberpunk 2077, because I thought its maybe the DX12. Played 1 hour with no errors.
Error occurs only in Battlefield and NFS:Unbound till now.

Attached my DXDiag.
Did some tests. If I fix the FPS at 50 the game crashes delay to 30 Minutes. But still occur at a 100% chance.

Good morning/afternoon or evening to whoever reads this.
First of all i'd like to say im not a very tech savvy person. Well, i'd like to adress an issue i've been having with the game and its that i cant play it basically. when i try to do the intro driving tutorial my game crashes whenever i get to the nitrous part popping this message about DirectX crashing and stuff. I already have my drivers up to date and tried doing the clean boot but still nothing.

I bought the game on steam and have the new EA Desktop launcher what could be the problem? I will also leave the specs of my laptop here as well, if it helps on anything. In case you wonder, i've been playing NFS Heat with no problems for almost a year now

Unfortunately this seems to be an error a lot of player had in the past years. Seems to be a very complex error.

The game crashed two times in one hour. First time on Auto settings in my first race. Then I tried to customize and lower the in-game graphics. 3 races went well but after that it happened again.
DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET ('The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; The application should destroy and recreate the device.'). GPI: "AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT", Driver: 22.11.1
(22.20.29.07-221110a-385749C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition). This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.

I've seen similar issues in games running DirectX12 but there is no setting option for choosing DirectX11.
