DX12 Error
Hi Guys, having a bad time with your new NFS Game. Unfortunately my game crashs during Gameplay with the attached DX12 Error. Error comes 100% after about 1 to 8 Minutes of gaming. I am running the...
ROFL a week without EA's response :D
Can they care less about paying customers?
Solution that worked for me.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
AMD Raedon 6700XT
Win 10 until now
First I flashed my bios to the newest version. Took me about 20 Minutes if M-Flash (usb stick).
Now I deleted the 2x dx12 files (shadercache in steam games directory and c:user:nfs-unbound directory)
After That I downloaded the AMD cleanup utility tool and the ccleaner (test version).
Also the AMD GPU Driver 22.11.2 (that was a mistake, even when NFSU is now supported, it lagged like hell in the game with this driver)
---> use 22.5.1 (1 before 22.11.2)
Now I started AMD cleanup utility tool
--> Tool restarts pc in WIn 10 Safety mode. After that all amd drivers will be removed.
--> after that I installed and used cc cleaner (i had no internet connection in safe mode, but i didn´t need it)
I cleared the whole registry with all amd files (i cleared everything, but my pc is still runing...)
Now i press windows+r key and typed "msconfig".
There I choosed "start" and deselected "safe mode". Then I confirmed this.
After that I restarted the pc in normal mode and installed amd 22.5.1 driver.
That´s it for me. I didn´t crashed in the third race like I always did. Im now for 2 hours in the game without a crash and did already 5 race events.
Perhaps that helps someone. I tried nearly everything, but this helps until now
If no update from EA by Friday, bye bye EA sub. Its enough to acknowledge the issue and tell us you either do not care, or are looking at it.
It didn't work on Nvidia. Crashed after 10 minutes
Unfortunately I can't afford to try any of the complex bios, windows reinstall or other arcane solutions as I am dependant on my PC for job work. Hopefully EA or Nvidia is gonna come with a patch soon, I love this game so much but I'm not gonna risk exploding my gpu over it
@ChepteaPaulLet me say that this was a solution with a Raedon Graphic card. If you are using a NVIDIA it is possible that a solution like this will not work! So I understand that you need your PC for work. But if you are having a nvidia graphic card I think you can already forget this solution.
What I read in all posts that it often helped to disable the Ultrawide screen for NVIDIA GPUs. But this is only one possible way.
