DX12 Error
Hi Guys, having a bad time with your new NFS Game. Unfortunately my game crashs during Gameplay with the attached DX12 Error. Error comes 100% after about 1 to 8 Minutes of gaming. I am running the...
New NVIDIA Drivers!
GeForce Experience cant optimise the game, and it still crashes albeit it takes a lot longer to crash. Tenuous as to who's problem this is? But either way I am out tomorrow if nothing from EA or no communication!
Haha. For me the new Nvidia Driver makes things even worse. Now I have stuttering in addition to the crashes too 🤣🙃
Well f*ck that. I wanted a new system months ago anyways. Today I bought a new Board, Processor and RAM.
I will see if that fixes the error. If not my Power Supply might be crap.
I am sure you can afford it, but you are investing way to much money into getting this game working. The stuttering will go away or at least it should, if you delete the DX12 file from your shader cache!
Try out Portal RTX its amazing, and will test your system!
I think I am done with this game, its too much effort, too much wasted time and EA clearly do not care! As I said, closing my Pro-Sub tomorrow if nothing is said by EA. I have posted on the NVIDIA forum too.
It is not like I just buy my new system for that game. My 7700k bottlenecks my RTX4080 in other games too. Cyberpunk, Ark, Battlefield.
Its time for an upgrade anyway. I will try to delete the DX12 file. But that do not solve the crashes haha.
Did not thought about Portal RTX. Minecraft RTX was amazing. Curious how Portal will look like. Thanks for the reminder!
Alright so I found a way to play relatively consistently, I carpet bombed my game with all the solutions listed above except the more complex ones like flashing BIOS or even reinstalling drivers. First I downloaded CCleaner, did everything I could with it (registries, temp files, drivers etc), then I restarted the PC, after that I installed the NFS Heat CPU Load Fix Master from github and basically did the instructions there, but in the steam unbound folder. I then made sure the files in both cahce folders are deleted, also updated my xbox controller firmware, disabled origin and steam in-game overlays and as of now it seems to be working, though I quit the game and start it again every two races just to be on the safe side. no crashes so far though since yesterday, maybe this works for someone else too
