ea play ps5 controller jank default controls

Alright ill also bake a cake, go to the gym, get my pilots license, run a marathon, and eat my own face. Typical ea being so useless that this is the solution to a problem that shouldn't even exist in the first place. Thanks for the answer by the way.

Just to add onto this. so long as your dualsense controller has the controller support enabled and general gamepad in steam controller options you dont need to be in big picture mode. however everything else is 100% correct

need to force mapping input through steam otherwise conflicts and errors happen in the game.

Nope this doesnt work. for whatever reason when trying to add EA app through steam it only comes up as "App Recovery" I launch Big picture mode, test controller in steam and it works as intended. Launch "App Recovery"(EA APP) It launch EA app, then I use my mouse to launch BF2042(as controller does nothing in EA App) Game launches and controls are still messed up. Face buttons act as DPad, etc. If I have BT on, then the controller doesnt even do anything at all. Tried with big picture mode off as well. And still same results.I give up, controler worked fine in BF a year ago and now they somehow messed it all up and they cant be bothered to fix it.
