Welp, I can at least confirm most of the problem has to do with the shaders. Read about this problem for the past few days cause I was having the same problem as alot of people but didn't want to use the CPU fix for heat cause i don't want to risk limiting performance, so I was looking for another solution. Tried alot of things but to no avail, although deleting the caches helped the problem to at least happen later than at first when I originally started up the game, but still froze when I loaded online. Having been an avid assetto corsa player up until maybe a year ago, i remembered how using CSP and Reshade was a must to actually get decent graphics in that game, and I already knew that Reshade works on just about any game, so figured I have nothing to lose and I'm gonna try it. Lo and behold, the game doesn't look as good as it used to and it can be somewhat laggy/choppy from time to time but it DOES NOT CRASH! Now I haven't really setup reshade in any way nor have I tried installing anything other than default shaders, so there might be a way to get it looking good and have better performance, so if anyone wants to fiddle around with that and test it out, have fun! In my case i don't really have time to test it much and try different stuff so i'm just gonna leave it as is for now until EA rolls out an actual fix for their crap show, but at least i can confirm the issue lies mainly in the shaders and i've given an alternative fix for everyone to try and make work at least. Hope this will help some of you out a bit, and hope the fact that an open source shader project is doing better than their big money fueled stuff might give them a kick in the pants to actually get something done.
