Game is crashing from Volume 6 update in PVP lobbies and battlepass rewards.

Product: Need for Speed: Unbound
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug I launch the game, everything is fine in the main menu. If I access Free Roaming, everything is fine, however, I do encounter more micro stuttering issues than before. When I load into the PVP lobbies or view the battlepass rewards, it instantly locks up my PC and I have to force close the game with task manager. I had NO issues beforehand, this just started as soon as I was forced with this update. I was just playing the game perfectly fine until I had to download the Volume 6 update.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game with a 3080 12GB card. Join a PVP Lobby or view Battlepass Rewards from the Garage. The game will crash 100% everytime.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game will freeze and the sound will cut out. I am forced to use Task Manager to cut the game.
What do you expect to see? The game to actually work.

Volume 6 causing Crashing Problems with PVP loading and Battlepass Viewing.


I have recently updated Need for Speed Unbound with the Volume 6 update. The game has ran fine on my PC Steam copy as I was just playing it before the update dropped until I was forced to download the 7GB update for Volume 6. As hyped I was, this update did nothing but almost break my game or rather not able to enjoy the new updates I looked forward into trying. 


I launch the game, everything is fine. If I access Free Roaming, everything is fine, however, I do encounter more micro stuttering issues than before. When I load into the PVP lobbies or view the battlepass, it instantly locks up my PC and I have to force close the game with task manager. I had NO issues beforehand, this just started as soon as I was forced with this update.

I have tried to verify my files, delete Cache and run administrative and that did nothing. I will try to reinstall the game but I am confident that isn't going to fix the issue.

As for my specs, I am running 4K with Quality DLSS active with a 3080 12GB.
I have 32GB of Ram and on a Ryzen 9 5900X for CPU.

    Thanks for reporting this issue. Some players have reported some crashes after the update and this is being investigated. I will keep you updated as soon as I have more information.
