I lost 74 hours of progress in Unbound. What to do to fix this?
I came to this forum hoping to find a way to restore my deleted progress, seeing that the game doesn't launch without EA cloud/online, except that doesn't seem to be the case seeing dozens of posts and replies with zero solution.
So now I'm making a post, trying not to add to the pile of 'Discussions' but attempting to have the team's final answer on 'What to do to fix' this issue. If EA/Unbound team can provide us with one.
PS. Grateful if someone could shine the light on the conundrum over having to connect to EA Online but there is no cloud save. What actually is going on there?
To confirm progress for NFS Unbound saves locally to your device, if you are missing partial progress (such as your last session) or your entire save this can be due to different reasons.
If you are missing partial progress we can check if you received an error message when you last played as Unbound may have been unable to save your progress correctly which is why it was not retained.
However, if your entire save is missing or you have to start a new save. This is typcially because something has corrupted your save file. We can attempt to run through steps that have helped others in the past, and check if the save files are still on your device.
If the save is truely corrupted, or the save files are no longer on your device for any reason then we would be unable to remotely restore progress and would need to start a new game.
