Issues with using Xbox controller wirelessly on PC

Same issue

using vanilla XBONE Controller on PC via Bluetooth -> Keybindings are completly wrong, 
game tells me to press A - I need to press "Start"

Literally unplayable. QA?

    I was also able to get it working.

    1. I downloaded the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft store
    2. Updated the firmware
    3. Applied Win 11 updates
    4. Removed my controller from Bluetooth devices and added it again

    Now it's registering inputs properly. Thank you!

    The game just crashed on my Radeon 6950 XT in the first race anyway.. but that's a different issue. 😞

    Didn't work. 

    The methods I've tried 

    Running the game through steam

    Reinstalling The Controller (Wireless and Wired) 

    Launching the Game with the controller. 

    Launching the App through Steam 

    Edit: Repaired the game
    Edit: Updated Controller via Xbox Accessories

    Edit: Uninstalled the game 
    Edit: Playing League of Legends instead.


    Why is this suddenly a problem, I see the thread was made in 2022 and it STILL hasn't been fixed?

    i had this problem too with my brand new xbox controller. what helped was uninstalling all bluetooth related stuff in device manager - reboot and then repairing the controller.

    i am on the latest firmware
