Missing stars for drift activities

Product: Need for Speed: Unbound
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug Completed all 35 drift zone activities by beating all rivals and counting up the amount of collected stars in the pop-up interfaces in the map screen yields 105 stars, however the star progress of the challenge is at 102/105.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Unknown, except for doing all activities of a certain type to see if the amount of stars collected are correct after completion. Possibly spread out over both career and online.
What happens when the bug occurs? All drift zone activities are greyed out/marked as completed, with all descriptions mentioning all stars in each region have been collected (and all rivals have been beaten).
What do you expect to see? I expect to see that the game can re-verify the status of activities and challenges and is able to deal with inconsistencies, such that any desynced challenges can still complete.

I have checked that I did in fact find all drift events and have checked my completed drift events against several different maps and lists online.

Note that this has resulted in me not being able to unlock the achievements Catch My Drift and Cleaning Up.

My suspicion is a synchronization issue between online and career as the events were not completed all in one mode. Alternatively, an instability in the internet connection may be the cause as my connection is sometimes interrupted for a second or two (which is not related to NFS Unbound).

When I have the time I will redo all drift events to see if by redoing them one of them will grant me the missing stars even if they should have been awarded in the map screen. Update: It did nothing.

  • @gizeh75 No I did not, but what I did was replay the story and redo all the collectibles and activities which gave me the achievements. To do this, go to the documents folder of the PC, go to Need For Speed(TM) Unbound -> SaveGame, and then moved "banners", "savegame", and "wraps" to a different folder. Then if you start the game, you should have no progress and can start again with the story. After you're done, swap out those three folders with your original ones if you want to because of multiplayer progress.

PS @EA this is not a solution because I still do not have the car on the characters I want to have it on.
  • I only have the same problem with jumps 134/135, I checked very often but nothing has ever changed.

This is not a bug, the rest of the activities are hidden. You can see what you haven't seen either by roaming freely or by purchasing the "key to map" package.

Or you can find the full map on the internet, look at the activity numbers by region and find the hidden activity.

For example, you see 1 drift activities in YAMS PARK, but there are actually 2. You can see what is not visible on that map with the map you find on the internet or with the keys to map package.

From here you can find out how many activities there are in each region.
