Need for Speed: Unbound save game progress was completely lost/reset.

Hi everyone and EA Support Team,

On 20 January 2025, I experienced a severe issue where my entire Need for Speed: Unbound save game progress was completely lost/reset.

Here are the details of what was lost from my account:

- My entire car collection vanished. The only car remaining in my inventory is my Lotus Evija.
- All of my single-player/story progress and achievements have been reset.

I previously sent an email regarding this issue, but I have not received a response or resolution yet. Since local save backups do not recover this data and cloud sync appears to have overwritten my profile with the reset state, I am reaching out here for assistance.

Could a Community Manager or Support Agent please review my account history or assist in recovering my profile/inventory data?

    Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear that your Need for Speed Unbound progress was reset.

    Since Need for Speed Unbound progress on PC is stored locally, EA Help isn’t able to recover or restore lost save progress. If you're playing on PC, there are a couple of places worth checking to see if an older copy of your save is still available. Your save files should normally be located here: Documents\Need for Speed Unbound\SaveGame

    Please right-click the SaveGame folder, select Properties, and check the Previous Versions tab to see if Windows has an older version from before the progress was reset. If your Documents folder is backed up through OneDrive, I'd also recommend checking OneDrive's version history and recycle bin for an older copy of the save. If you find an older backup, make a separate copy of your current SaveGame folder before restoring anything, just in case.

    Unfortunately, if the local save was overwritten and the reset version has also synced to the cloud, there may not be an older copy available to recover.

    I hope you're able to find a previous backup and restore your progress.
