NFS Unbound - Unable to launch on Steam Oct, 23rd

Bought the game yesterday from the EA App, downloaded it, starts, black out, and closes no error message NOTHING

Tryed everything people suggested, nothing worked

For folks still facing issues launching the game, try this.

Add the main game folder (named Excalibur) to the Exclusions list under Virus & threat protection settings.

ok found a solution that might work for some who didnt try yet...

i had the game on a different drive but seems when it got reeintalled into the same drive as windows now it works fine

Hey guys, ive had the issue since 2023. I have not been able to get it running once on my Desktop PC. I did however get it running on a laptop I bought earlier this year, but my custom build desktop just doesnt run it. It's definitely not a hard ware problem because my desktop has much better specs than my laptop, and I also upgraded my pc throughout this year, and still have no luck (this included a fresh install of windows). My best guess is that it has something to do with the motherboards/drivers or like a bios setting or something, but idk because there's no errors.

What essentially happens is that, for my desktop pc, it launches, I see the game screen but its a black window, it waits a few seconds, and then closes. This happens every single time I launch it on my desktop. But my laptop it launches just fine.

I've tried just about every other solution out there and nothing works. I don't like to point fingers but I genuinely think this is an internal issue, as many users on pc seem to be running into this problem. Not only that but this is the only game my desktop can't run.

If there's anything I can do/provide to you guys for help, please let me know.

usually deleting "EADesktop", "Electronic Arts" and "Link2EA" on \AppData\Local\ works, but today i wasted an hour between deleting these and restarting the windows waiting for it to work

moving the game to C:\ made it work. i won't question. thank you.

• Which platform are you on? PC
• Are you getting an error message? No error msg.
• When did this start (date/time)? November
• Do you own NFS Unbound via Steam or access it via different means (EA app, EA Play, etc)? Steam
• If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
• If on PC, please share a DxDiag file and an EA app Error ID Number

1. close the EA app. 

2. Verifiy integrity of your files on steam

3. restart the game via Steam. 

Worked for me. 

hopefully the EA guys will sort this issue out cuz people are a bit angry at this issue that persists.
