NFS Unbound Error Code 6 & Error Code 9: "Unable to save file"

I've had nothing but trouble trying to launch NFS Unbound since purchasing it yesterday.

Upon launching the game, I immediately get Error Code: 6 - "Unable to save file. Your progress will not be stored. Please check our support pages for more help."

I cannot get pass this error no matter how many times I press Retry or Ignore.

I've tried:

• Verifying the game files via Steam
• Uninstalling & re-installing via Steam
• Disabling Windows Defender, Antivirus Protection, Firewall etc. for NFS Unbound
• Refunding the game via Steam, deleting, and then re-purchasing and redownloading through the EA App
• Updating all graphics drivers
• Restarting the PC

This is incredibly frustrating and not the experience I would expect from a AAA game/developer.

Any insight would be much appreciated before I refund the game (again) via the EA store.
