Return to the game menu, then go back to the PS Home, exit the game, and restart. I repeated this process three times, or alternatively, waiting for about a minute might resolve the issue with a single restart.
I speculate that the errors occurred because, after customizing the car, I exited the game directly from the PS5 Home without returning to the game menu. These errors occurred upon the next startup. Therefore, I now make it a practice to return to the main menu before exiting the game.
Similar issues occurred in the past ("I can't remove my car wrap. It's displayed as equipped."), and I resolved them by avoiding synchronization of PS5 save data with cloud storage.
If these steps don't bring a resolution, it's possible that the situation remains challenging. I understand that you might be experiencing deep sadness, and that saddens me as well.
Finally, I have a suggestion for community administrators. Adding a link to examples of Technical Issues posts in bug reports could be beneficial. I, playing on PS5, overlooked Technical Issues, assuming it was for PC users. Alternatively, I hope this post is approved as a solution similar to previous instances. Sharing this information as this problem recurs in bug report posts. I would be pleased if it proves helpful to someone.
I encountered Error Code 9 this time. The solution was to perform a complete restart of Unbound and proceed to the custom car wrap screen until the error messages stopped appearing. This resolved the issue for me.
I was in the lobby of Lakeshore Online, meaning not participating in the game, and had been customizing my car wrap for over 30 minutes. Fortunately, the car wrap I created was saved.
I repeated the process of returning to the main menu upon game startup, quitting, restarting Unbound, and proceeding to the custom car wrap screen. Each time, some error messages appeared. There was a message saying the save file was discarded but saved. After those error messages stopped appearing, I had to manually reapply the car wrap for all cars in Lakeshore Online as they were all removed.
As a preventive measure, it may be advisable not to stay in the lobby screen of Lakeshore Online for an extended period, as it seems to disconnect from the server after about 30 minutes. However, in reality, this time is necessary when working on creating a car wrap, so there might be no choice but to rely on luck. The downside is having to reapply the car wrap for all cars.
That concludes my report. While this may not solve all issues, I hope it proves helpful to someone.

This happens everytime I try to do anything with wraps or customization. I have not found any work around or correction amd this stopping me from completing the game.

Summarize your bug I Just downloaded need for speed unbound and it gives me error code 6 this doesn’t go away when re installing it and verifying the files. I tried looking for save file locations and nothing was there
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have bad game files idk
What happens when the bug occurs? Loading screen press enter to start.
What do you expect to see? Big notification banner that says error code 6 not able to save progress retry or ignore
I’ve tried uninstall and reinstall 3 times have 4.5 hours on the press enter to start screen because I was trying g so hard for a solution.

date issue started: Feb 29 2024 is the date I re downloaded the game. yes this issues is still happening
is anything else happening: the same thing that is happening to everyone else is happening to me. Can’t save progress with wraps, customization, buying cars etc.
Steps I’ve tried to resolve issue: nothing has worked.

The problem has been going on actually since the release of the game.I have tried doing EVERYTHING that can be done on my end.So before i get a bunch of replies asking did you try this or that...YES..ive done everything since others and myself have been dealing with this problem since the game dropped and we've been exhausting every effort here in EA Help since way back in last year to try and resolve and fix this.This is clearly an issue on the developers end and not our end.Can this please finally be fixed!!!
