NFS Unbound Error Code 6 & Error Code 9: "Unable to save file"

Hey everyone!Sorry its been a while since I've been on the forum.The problem unfortunately still exists.The only real solution I've found is deleting wraps until you find the wrap that's causing the error code.In some cases, it could also be a car in the garage causing the issue as well.A number of things can cause the problem...1)Corrupted wrap...Delete your wraps starting with your most recent until you find the culprit. 2)A certain car in the garage is causing the problem...Sale cars starting with your most recent purchase to find the bugged car. 3) Too many "busy" detailed wraps..4) Find that sweet spot number of cars and wraps and try not to exceed...Too many cars and wraps can cause error codes..I have found that, for me, if I keep my garage number to 110 cars or under AND under 40 wraps , then I dont have any issues. And last, but not least, avoid purchasing the Darius R8...The Darius R8 was the source of my issues several times.

I hope this helps some of you.I will keep an eye out for my notifications to check for replies.Let me know if any of these tricks help or if they don't!

This error keep persisting on Vol 9 and it's annoying since a mazda and Mercedes design.

Same similar problem with this bug, ever since the update to Vol 8 whenever accessing community wraps from other gamers or creating my own wrap it on longer allows me to save it, makes me wonder if the entire game play is no longer being auto saved anymore? Here is the part that gets confusing, during the game play the wraps do come back, then the wrap disappears when entering an event, its not just the Volkswagen but it all the wraps on any car. 

I'm getting the same issue when creating or adding community wraps to the library from other gamers, it's possible a glitch in Vol 8 is causing the wraps not to be added.     Makes me wonder if the entire game progress is not being saved anymore?

I've had nothing but trouble trying to launch NFS Unbound since purchasing it yesterday.

Upon launching the game, I immediately get Error Code: 6 - "Unable to save file. Your progress will not be stored. Please check our support pages for more help."

I cannot get pass this error no matter how many times I press Retry or Ignore.

I've tried:

• Verifying the game files via Steam
• Uninstalling & re-installing via Steam
• Disabling Windows Defender, Antivirus Protection, Firewall etc. for NFS Unbound
• Refunding the game via Steam, deleting, and then re-purchasing and redownloading through the EA App
• Updating all graphics drivers
• Restarting the PC

This is incredibly frustrating and not the experience I would expect from a AAA game/developer.

Any insight would be much appreciated before I refund the game (again) via the EA store.

Error code 6 FIX for PC:

I found what was causing this error for me after 6months of being unable to play Unbound. AND, hopefully I can help a bunch of you out!!

So last year, my Hard drive died and on it was the default location for My Documents folder. Now because Unbound saves to My Documents, and my PC still had the default location as my old HDD, the game couldn't access it and the save failed. 

Unknown to me, I had the same issue with bunch of other games, but unlike Unbound, those games showed a 'cant save error' but followed it up, by asking me where I would like to save my game instead, so I never had issues. (take a lesson there EA, let us choose where we want to save our games)

So I found a BAT file that resets the location of your Documents folder to default, and thereafter, Unbound could save, and I could actually play the game (finallllly!!!)

Just open that link, download the file, run it (don't worry, it's safe) and thereafter you should be able to get rid of this error for good (cheers!!)
