NFS Unbound Freezing & Crashing (can't continue the story)

Hello, I can't continue the story mode as my game keeps freezing and crashing to the desktop every time the second race of the Saturday trial starts. After the countdown and exactly when the car starts the race, the game freezes and crashes.

I paid 60€ for a game I can't play?? C'mon EA, you can't leave your game like this, I never ever had any issues with other NFS games... I wanna play but I can't!!

Help please, fix these issues!! I have 58 Crash Dump files!!!! (I sometimes can't even open the game without deleting those dx12 shader cache files first).

    I had problem on Saturday on third race. It crashed with some directX problem. I checked game file from ea application (I think I clicked repair), then started the game, set upscaling back to 100 (It was 150 before), and turned off Radeon anti-lag option and image sharpening from Amd program. And it worked!!! I think upscaling is the problem, it caused my problems before in RDR2.

    I also have this issue on my nfs unbound palace edition. After the first race return to garage then will appear a EA connection screen to stop the story mode go towards.

    The second race should be at night time but after I restart the game, it’s still at day time and the map has no shown the competition direction.

    @EA_Mako, @EA_Atic, @EA_Someone, I'd like some help with this. I really want to play the game but I can't because of this. If I can't play, I'll have to ask for a refund... 🤐

    Hey, @MIGU3L666 @Westmat can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with NEED FOR SPEED™ Unbound and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

     

    Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

    @EA_Atic , what worked was going back to Friday, getting another car to A+ and trying the races with the new car. That shouldn't be the solution since I had to spend extra cash in game. The problem I'm having now is when I exit story mode to the menu, the game crashes to desktop after a few seconds.

    NO, it doesn't work, it's still freezing after did a clean boot and turn off Discord or Nvidia experience.

    You could possibly reinstall your graphics card drivers and follow along as described here.
