NFS Unbound Game Progress disappeared

Just lost 1037 hours of gameplay on NFS Unbound both online and story mode (full reset), but I still have all my Data, achievements and stats saved on my Xbox account. How do I get that back for gameplay?

Thanks for confirming, that message was mentioned in our update here.

This pops up when the game attempts to auto-save and encounters an issue, as mentioned in our post you will want to:

If you have encountered this message your progress is not saved nor will it be for this session. Please manually close the game app, turn on your engines and continue playing your progression prior to the previous session.

Once you restart the game you should pick up from your last saved point and can play from there, with you just missing the latest auto-save attempted that encountered the error.

If you get another message about the save being corrupted that means the save file its become corrupted in which case we would not be able to recover progress.

I lost all my progression on need for speed unbound I restarted my game multiple times and I still have yet to recover it, but it still has all my trophies and trophy case what should I do?

Only way around this is to back your save game up @ documents/nfsunbound/savegame
copy it after every couple races, upload it and keep it somewhere safe
so if your save becomes corrupt again you have a backup

Literally just happened to me on PC platform via steam. Started the game about 15 mins ago and WITHOUT WARNING. I lost EVERYTHING! 529 HRS down the drain and about $50+ in DLC's GONE. I am infuriated by this, I would seriously appreciate help because I WILL NOT START OVER.

Are you missing Story mode progress or online progress? Missing story and Online Progress. Purchased Speed Passes Still there.

When did your progress disappear? Between Yesterday ( 2-15-25) 3pm and Today ( 2-16-25 )
Was this after a reinstall of NFS Unbound, or did you move to a new device? : No
Do you own NFS Unbound or play via a service like EA Play or GamePass? : YES, VIA STEAM
