nfs unbound-unable to connect to EA servers (check ea.com/unable-to-connect)

I am playing it on steam for starters. i try to connect to the EA servers to play online, it connects but then instantly disconnects and says lost connection. it happens when I first boot the game up as well and has been happening since I first bought the game when it first came out. as you can see from the photos it obviously connects but then loses the connection
