Party chat issues with xbox series x

I have ps5 and don't have party chat issues on this game. My brother in law who has xbox series x and I start playing this game about 2 months ago. We never had any party chat issues until the latest update. Since then his party chat does not work. If I am partied up with another person and our chat is working once he joins we can't hear him and he can't hear us but me and the 2nd guy can still chat. If a 4th joins after my brother in law they're chat won't work either. If I join him neither of our chats work. In the party when it shows a circle with a line through it next to his name and he is not muted.

Originally I was thinking he had an isolated issues as I've searched the web and Noone else seems to have this issue. I encouraged a couple more of our friends to get new systems so they can join us in the game as we are not having much fun on warzone nowadays. One of my friends got a new xbox, purchased the game, logged on tonight and is experiencing the same thing. Another one of my buddies has bought a new xbox that is coming I'm a couple days and he too is going to get this game as I've been telling them to get it and how much more fun playing it is than warzone and it is going to basically unplayable for all of them without discord chat. 

This problem has honestly made me look pretty stupid for recommending this game and my friends buying new Gen systems to play it and the game audio doesn't even work. Me and my brother in law were playing this often but now we don't as it's a pain in the butt to have to open a discord chat to play now. 

Has anyone else experienced this issue?
