PC Controller Mapping incorrect and unplayable

ME too, still no fix from EA for the problem with controller not recognised / false mapped... but well, we should be used to the very poor support by ea...

Funny thing is, my G920 almost works :-) almost, since something is braking all the time, so not playable too, but every input seems to work finde

shoot i started playing the trial. think humm this lambo is slow. thinking we maybe that how this game starts. last play every race. cops didnt chase me ram me nothing then. im like ok i just buy the the game as i couldnt get me controller to work. buy it to figure out that the contoller dont work at all not even my wheel other then gas. can rev car goes foward as the rpms r at 2k. hit a wall strait on im done as i cant get off the wall at all not giving the opt to my other cars i got with the palace ediion. game now say hey it still broke but let send it out. it just how they r.  all the companys have got to crap it just to be expected esp after the covid crap. pure lazyness anymore. flat out. 

i cant get over like 70mph. then the rpm are at 2k and the car starts rolling foward. no brakes 

Is anyone working on this issue? I still cannot play this game with any controller I have (PS4, PS5, XBOX One). These controllers work perfectly with every other games I own on PC, except Need For Speed Unbound.

Same problem here, tried it with my G920, a xbox elite wireless  and a new v2 wireless controller, both controllers wired and wireless, nothing worked.

Still waiting for a fix for a month now, never gonna buy the crap again from ea...., they were extremely unfriendly at the support and i was always the one who has faulty settings and so on...

Return policies are also better for the same game on other sellers than EA, so no more EA

Using Me Ps4 Controller same problem square and oval fells like left right  R2 is is enter and accelerate  x Key  is down  Its just unplayable :D Who to fix that ?

Never understood why most popular games today comes without custom binding support.

I am reviving this thread despite a "solution" being identified - clearly not.

This occurred after I launched the game first, and then plugged the controller in.

Hogwarts Legacy works no issues, so this is not a Steam-game problem, this is an NFS problem.

I am attempting to install and re-install the game through Steam and this time, plug the controller in first and then launch the game.

UPDATE:

I had my gf log me into my Steam account on her PC and installed the game + EA app on her PC. It worked without any issues - this led me to believe that something became corrupted in Windows settings/interplay between EA and Windows.

I have just backed up my Documents/Settings/Files and have completely reset Windows to a new OS image.

This worked. My controller is identified as an Xbox controller, ABXY are treated normally as ABXY and not directional input, and things seem to have normalized.

This begs the following questions:

1. What is the trigger for this issue? Is it truly starting the game with a controller unplugged and plugging it in afterwards? Hard to believe.
2. What sorts of registry components does NFS Unbound talk to with respect to Windows? Are any controller-related binaries edited with NFS Unbound? This should be investigated.
3. A clean-wipe of the OS is not an acceptable workaround for any application, much less one people paid $70+ for.

I am writing to express my frustration with the recent experience I had with your games. As a paying customer, I believe that it is unacceptable for a client to pay $70 for a game that does not work properly. It is disappointing to see that your developers are pushing products to production that do not even support the desired input.

It has been months since this issue has been reported, and it is disheartening to see that it has not been resolved. This reflects poorly on your company's reputation and could lead to negative PR in the future. Due to this issue, I have uninstalled every single EA game and the EA app. I am sure I am not the only one who has done this.

As a game development company, you should prioritize the quality of your products and the satisfaction of your customers. Your clients should not be paying for games that do not work properly. Please take this issue seriously and fix it as soon as possible. It will help in building trust and credibility with your customers.

I hope that in the future, your products will meet the expectations of your customers, and they can continue to enjoy your games without any hindrance.
