Re: NFS Unbound - Unable to launch on Steam Oct, 23rd
For the past 48 hours I haven't been able to launch the game through Steam. Some general info I purchased EA Play and launch NFS Unbound through Steam while also having the EA app. In short, this has been my experience: The game will start 'running' on steam, the EA app will open to begin launching the game, the EA app fails to launch the game after loading bar is visible for a couple seconds, the EA app blinks or refreshes and then does nothing, then the game is no longer 'running' in Steam. Here's what I've done so far, that I can remember, to help anyone dealing with the same issue.
-Checked graphics drivers
-Checked for Windows updates
-Verified game files via Steam
-Restarted EA app (top left of app)
-Cleared EA app Cache ^
-Ran Compatibility Troubleshooter and the game in Comp Mode
-Uninstalled and Reinstalled NFS Unbound
-Uninstalled the EA app and Steam
-Disabled the anti virus and made exclusion files for both programs and the game
-Removed all startup apps and services and performed clean boot
-Deleted all cache files for the game and launchers
I did some more but I can't remember, I apologize. I've also tried launching the game via the EA app after repairing it and reinstalling it and it made no difference. As I'm writing this the game still won't launch and I'm currently out of options. If anyone has any new tips or advice all and any is appreciated, feel free to leave any similar experiences as well.
