Summarize your bug Game crashes anywhere from 10 seconds after launching the game, to about a minute (After clicking Play Story)
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game?
What happens when the bug occurs? Game shuts down.
What do you expect to see? The $80 game i purchased...
PC Spec:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X
Ram: 16gb DDR4
GPU: Asus 3060 12GB
This has now happend for about 3 hours since game was finished downloaded in steam.
I have verified gamefiles.
Moved game to main drive incase it was HDD speed related.
Updated GPU driver.
Updated BIOS
Tried the CPU fix from NFS Heat
Windows is up to date.
Tried launching the game thru EA Play.
Tried launching the game thru Origin.
Tried launching the game thru Steam
Cant seem to find any information from EA, or anyone involved.
If noone is able to tell wherter or not devs are looking into this asap, there isnt any reason to keep this game in steam, and i would rather just have my money back. Which is a shame, cause i was actually looking forward to playing this.
havent found a solution yet???
Sadly no.

Summarize your bug The game often crashes and freezes during gameplay on 40 series GPU.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During casual gameplay.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game freezes and then closes the program completely.
What do you expect to see? A game that I can actually play without bracing for a freeze/crash. Good job I'm only utilising the 10 hours on EA Access, otherwise I would have been more annoyed.
Have the latest nvidia drivers.

I see two things in your dxdiag, but not sure if they might be related:
First one is this one: "DxDiag Previously: Crashed in system information (stage 3). Re-running DxDiag with "dontskip" command line parameter or choosing not to bypass information gathering when prompted might result in DxDiag successfully obtaining this information"
Seems like some issue/error? Did you get any errors when running dxdiag?
Second one is this one: "Sound Tab 4: The file vbaudio_vmauxvaio64_win7.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer. Sound Tab 5: The file vbaudio_vmvaio64_win7.sys is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer."
Maybe update/remove that driver (if possible) to see if it helps? Seems to be from some VBAudio driver?

I didn't see any errors when I opened up dxdiag. I can get a new one to see if there is anything in there.
The 2nd point there I assume is related to Voicemeeter Banana, virtual sound board thingy to add virtual audio inputs etc.
So here is the log from windows event manager.

Could this be a potential culprit? ntdll.dll? Might just give that a go before i leave game untill an update comes along

@PolarfoxPlaysCould be worth a shot for sure. Seems to be easy to restore this file.
Well, it got me alot further, now about 7 and a half minutes in (after the first police chase, just before whats seems to be entering the safehouse.
New error log pulled. Now its something to do with the rendering engine.

Whatever that is 😬
After a quick google. The Engine.render yadda yaddaPcDx12.dll seems to be a Frostbite engine support file.
Well, tried the old and faithfull removal of PcDx12files fomr the cache.
Got me about 10 minutes of playtime before game * out again. So i guess its off waiting for a solution from EA. Game doesn't even find anything to blame now in Event Viewer under applications, now it just tells me under the systems tab, than im running out of VRAM, Which is odd, as i have a 3060 12gb, so i shouldnt be running into issues with the card.
And yeah, im on the latest GPU driver.
Same as other people.
12700k running stock
34gb ram
4090 GPU
No other game crashes on my pc, this games not even demanding and I can play cyberpunk etc fine.
@PolarfoxPlaysIt does appear that a lot of issues point to an issue with the GPU driver. The crashing, the weird textures, flashing stuff, etc.
I wonder if there is a way to force DX11, if at all possible?
EDIT: Found this on YT, will verify later if this does anything: Put -d3d11 or -dx11 or -dx12 in the launch options

I'll give that an attempt today. Apparently there should be a new Nvidia driver soon aswell, so let's hope
same here i tried everything they said on reddit. but nothing works.sadly i can't refund the game.. i been trouble shooting this game for way to long now
I have removed both dx12 files form main game and in the documents folder, after starting up the game again, it wont crash anymore but I get constantly fps drops. I dont know whats going on
1080p isn't working for me. The game crashes for no reason at the start of the second race of the Week 1 Qualifier. Every single time. I even uninstalled and installed it again, tried different drives, nothing works and it always freezes and crashes in the same place.

Summarize your bug Game crashes anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes after launching.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game? check for bugs?
What happens when the bug occurs? Game shuts down randomly without a reason
What do you expect to see? A game that doesn't crash in 3 seconds and my $90 worth
PC Spec:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
Ram: 16GB DDR4
GPU: MSI 6800XT Gaming Z Trio
Same for me, EA APP is garbo and every controller i use the buttons are mixed around so it's unplayable, i load in and about 2 minutes of gameplay the game unexpectedly closes with no popup or anything. It just shuts down on its own for no reason. It's very random too, sometimes it'll let me play for 30 minutes the crash or 2 seconds then crash. It's so painful, and i don't want to have wasted $100 on a game that i cannot play
Were you able to fix this? İ get crashes when I want to race, start a race or finish a race...
the files appears again in the folder when i start my game
