The EA APP is using up my CPU/GPU while I play and destroying my performance

The EA app is using up my laptop's iGPU while I play and this leads to MASSIVELY increased CPU usage. When this issue occurs I get 80, 90%+ CPU usage in game (usually around 60%) and slowmotion issues everywhere. It's not malware, I use kaspersky and have scanned the PC, it also doesn't happen absolutely all the time but often, when I'm playing Unbound. Problem started maybe 6 weeks ago
