Unable to join NFS unbound online from garage menu PS5

Every time I try to play need for speed unbound online it doesn’t let me load into a game lobby. The loading screen will allow me to progress to the garage where i can upgrade my vehicles and buy new cars. However every time I select join game I will be stuck on the loading screen until I am kicked for inactivity. I can’t even get onto the map screen. I’ve tried restarting the game, restarting my PS5, checking for NFS updates and any PlayStation updates but there isn’t anything. Story mode works and loads fine, it’s online which seems to be the issue. I’ve been told that it is connected to EA servers so I’m just at a loss at what to do.

    Same here been 2 days tried moving save data from ssd to console. Deleted and redoloaded game rested wifi. Nothing is working on ps5.

    I'm having the exact same issue as well but I'm on PC. I haven't tried playing the game across two different accounts but I've played across two different PC's and the same issue still occurs. Sometimes I get lucky and it let's me load into online but most of the time, it kicks me.

    Same issue and had nothing to do with performance. I refunded the game, problem solved.

    This issue may be linked to broken cars in the garage. Check if you have any cars that looked "broken" and if so, sell them and restart. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. Most common broken cars are the Porsche Taycan and the VW Golf GTI Clubsport (2016).

    Someone contacted PlayStation support about this and it's definitely something on EA'S end. Speculation is that maybe the game is not flagged for online play through EA play.
