Unbound won't launch after vol.7 - PC/EA app

after update,still very hard to lanuch game

My game won't start after vol. 8 update. Either it doesn't launch at all or crashes, right after black game windows appears, with directx error (see the attatched screenshot)

I own a steam version of unbound.

What i have done so far:

- updated and reinstalled GPU drivers

- checked integrity of game files

- reinstalled the game

Based on your error, can we also try the following and check if it continues to pop up when playing Unbound?

1. Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
2. Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
3. If there’s an option available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync), to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
4.  Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
5. Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
6. Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.

I wouldn't know what to screenshot, as it just simply "prepares" the game, closes EA, pauses anything and minimizes steam, and then they both open back up as if you never launched it. 

This has been a reoccurring issue for me for the last two months.

still cant launch since october 22nd 2024

tried all previous methods mentioned on PC

game bought via steam 

Nothing helps.The problem is still there after Vol.9 update.Only fix is to restart the PC. So every time we close the game we have to restart the PC if we want to start it again.I've come to the conclusion that the problem is in the EA launcher and not the game itself.Since the problem started I've had clean install of Win10 and multiple driver changes and neither seems to be the problem since the game still doesn't launch after the first time.
