Clubs playing in drop-in

How come EA hasn't done anything about full 6 players club playing in drop-in? do they feel good or something beating a team with 6 randoms that can barely play? that * has to stop.

  • @spiritpat I agree. However I would be fine if they either let us search with a couple people (in case you can't get more than 1-2 friends online) or let you search w/ friends but split your party between teams so that you can still talk and play together.

Drop ins needs an overhaul . Between this and trolls it's rough out there! I typically just play drops to try to find new players to join my club, I sorta feel that should be the goal in drops.

@rsandersr47 They don't want to give us what we all want and that is lobbies for Drop-Ins like the old days. Just create auto replies/messages instead of allowing free typing to avoid the awful chat. The lobby system is "outdated:" they say

    Agreed!

Drop-in players should have a 'Free Agent' checkbox while searching. And Clubs with <6 players can select 'Free Agent' while searching for a match.

Match a drop-in player and a club who both have 'free agent' checked on, and boom - you're playing 6v6 with a club. The club gets all humans, the drop-in player gets to play real club and everybody wins. If the drop-in player turns out to be a stud, the club can just have her/him join - thus allowing people better options to fill out their clubs.

Absolutely! And why stop there? Have it to where clubs can spectate drop in games and send club invites to guys they like. I would love to be able to watch a little of a drop in game, if I see someone that fits our style of play I can drop him a message or club invite and then move on to another drop in lobby to see what other guys may fit our team. Then have these players play with us/ together in a prospect game or something. Maybe let players fill out a prospect questionnaire that you can click on when viewing the lobby, it will have their stats, their preferred positions, if they want to list their time zone/ usual hours played, etc. honestly there are so many ways they could go about this or tools they could give us.. however, they don't haha!

This game was much better on ps3, i dont remember seeing so many bugs back then, and LOBBIES WERE SO NICE!

If teams could actually find a match in club, they would prefer to play there. However, they can't and resort to drop-in. Sure, it is not fair stacking against randoms, but it is either that or not play at all. This community is on life support. Hopefully the crossplay update gives some life to EASHL.

Communication is a big key though, it's hard because no one really talks in game during a drop-in game anymore, ill have my mic on muted, but often no one communicates anymore, on nhl 14, people would be talking allot more then. I've had a couple of drop-in games played and the people I've played with, we've just meshed very well and it would almost seem like we were a club, but our play styles just complimented each other and those people weren't trying to do it all themselves. That's when it's fun to play this game.
