CUSTOM TEAM/PLAYER LIMIT
@EA_Aljo Is it possible to find out what the limit is on created players/teams per roster this year?
I believe in the past games it's been around 600 players and 50 teams - is it the same this year?
That's about 30 teams with 20 created players on each team (the minimum for a full lineup) - custom leagues max out at 48 teams. It would be awesome to be able to create a completely custom league with 48 teams, but it's impossible with a 600 player cap.
Created teams limit has been 50 in the past, I imagine this has not changed, but can we look into this with future releases? At least 100 teams per roster would be great. There's 60 teams in the NCAA, I know this is not an NCAA game, but I cannot create all 60 NCAA teams on the same one roster, which is annoying. The only solution I've been able to come up with is using three different rosters, making it possible for every team to play against each other. This means I have to create teams AND players multiple times. This is insanely time consuming...
How about a copy/paste option for players and teams that allows us to simply copy a team/player from ROSTER 1 and easily place them on ROSTER 2. ROSTER SHARING IS A THING NOW (thank you), help us help you.
IDEAS FOR CREATION ZONE::::::::::::::::::
- Script logos on the chest of jerseys (ie: RANGERS, MINNESOTA, etc) even if it's just a couple of options like diagonal, arc (w jersey number in the middle) etc.
- More arenas! Every arena feels the same and it's such a drag.
- More customization! Let us change the color of the kick plates.
- Let us hang banners! Every arena has all 32 NHL banners hanging. Every college team has the banners of the other teams in their leagues hanging. This would be an awesome feature for CL's.
- More lighting effects. On the PS5, these have been getting better but I think we can do more here. How about an option to have the arena lights shut off with the spotlight on the player after a goal?
- Custom center ice logos.
- More true broadcast options for different arenas. Make each arena option feel more unique.
- Home Ice Advantage slider! Some arenas are harder to play in than others. I really like the addition of the owner success slider - let's get a home ice advantage slider!
- Rival option. We used to have this - bring back the rival option. I want to be able to choose which team my created team hates the most!
- Bring back custom music. Is it licensing that holds this back? If so, heck yeah pay the artists.
Behavior
- I really like the player options you get for running etc in the FIFA create a player suite. Instead of sliders, maybe give us specific player types for shot/skating styles. Or both?
Duplicate Players in Custom Leagues
- can we get an option for "no duplicate players" ? If not, an easier way to move players? It's super annoying and time consuming moving 5 players at a time to specific leagues etc.
A few simple quality of life changes could really help open up a lot of options for content creation, which is only good for the game.

This script logos would be good add to team creation. Would be great, if we could self create logos and uploads self-made logos to the game like in 2K NBA. Forexample would be nice we could create logo, what is combination text and pic, like one of Vancouver Canucks logo was.
Another good add would be name plates, like in Flyers jerseys where player name is in white backround in home jersey
One thing what should get, to NHL 23 is, updated "locations" and "place of origin" lists. @MV75 has made great list about cities, which would be need add to game. On the list is lot of european citis forexample from Sweden, Finland and rest of Europe. If EA Sports would update "locations" and "place of origin" lists it help lot of in player- and team creation.
