I got fiber 1,5g with 5ms when im playing world of chel and club, and 70% of the times i got a input lag.. Feel like i skate with a 300lbs player and i got mcdavid.. Does anyone find a way to fix that? I got this input lag for years. Thanks.

@EA_Aljo Can we have someone from the EA dev or QA team actually investigate this? Every single one of us has experienced this problem repeatedly and at random intervals. I work in high-tech (25 years experience in R&D, both as a developer and as a senior executive). When it's so widespread and repeated, it's not your end-users connection, it's the game. For reference:* I'm on a fiber connection (500 down, 50 up)* I have cat-6 wiring throughout my entire house, including to the PS5 I'm on. * I get the problem whether I'm on a wireless or wired connection to my PS5 controller* I get the problem even when I have fully power cycled the PS5* I get the problem even when I have fully power cycled the modem and my own mesh router nodes (I'm using an Asus Zen-Wifi with two access points)* I get the problem even when no other major activity is going on on my local network.* I have 2 controllers - switching controllers mid-game does not resolve the issue.* The game ping says I have a sub-20ms ping, but in game I feel a delay, sometimes has high as half a second.* This delay extends to everything - not just player controls, even line switching is delayed.* When the delay happens, you get it for the entire length of a match (which seems to suggest it's not network related - if it was, you'd expect it to be intermittent).* I can randomly get the delay or not from game to game, but when I do, it's for the entire length of the game. * The delay seems to be worse when I play players from Montreal* The delay seems to be worse or more prevalent at peak player times - i.e. Friday night, Saturday, Sunday.* When the delay happens, AI and player movement becomes erratic, puck pickup, intercepts and pokecheck go down the tubes; and at times you get "telekinetic" puck - I.e. my players are skatign with the puck a foot in front of their stick. Basically, you see strange and erratic behavior.* My opponent does not appear to be suffering from the same issue.If I had to guess, there's some sort of concurrency bottleneck in the server code. Note you can have an overloaded server with low CPU and memory utilization - contention for filehandles for example or IO wait-times can explain poor server performance.

@KidShowtime1867 I'm wired, have HDR turned off, game mode on my TV turned on, and I still have the same problems. I'm always 19-21 ping, yet, completely at random for long stretches (sometimes the entire game), it feels like I'm breaking 100. Like everything else, this 2 minute connection indicator we currently have needs a total overhaul. I don't play their other sports titles so as far as I know this is an NHL (or EA Sports) specific issue

@KidShowtime1867 If it were simply a matter of TV settings then a user would *NEVER* experience a good game, and would experience the lag issues in offline mode as well.The vast majority of complaints say the issue varies from game to game and is largely specific to online matches

Everyone I play with has stopped playing since they released that update a week or 2 ago because of input delay that didn’t exist prior to it.Not wasting another minute of my time trying to troubleshoot something that is clearly on EAs end. When a large amount of your playerbase gets input lag starting all on the same day you release an update, it’s probably not wise to put blame on them on top of it in an already fragile playerbase that’s run out of patience.I can handle the bugs and the gameplay flaws, but introduce input lag and I’m heading for the hills

Top players doesnt have input delay... i watch a lot of streamers playing nhl and i can clearly see that they are fluid..

Does anyone here still have the input lag? Can we fix this?

Most likely, your drop-in games are with other west coast players so it's putting you on a west coast server. If you're playing club games where the others in your club are mostly from the north/east and the club is set to a north/east region, you're going to be playing on that server. The best I can advise is to get in a club with other west coast players. Hopefully, we'll have a better way to handle these connections in the future. Currently though, with hockey being a more popular sport in the northern and eastern regions, it means the southern and western players won't have as large a player pool to play with and potentially end up on servers in their regions.

I just played games tonight from 2am-3h30am it run super well... it super weird... 70% of the time i play with a input lag... theres something around that cause that input lag.. . Im from Quebec (not montreal😃) I played my games with 5-10ms as usual but tonight for idk the reasons the game run super smooth. Maybe with the crossplatform it going to fix everything about it?! Whetever we need to investigate about this issues, because tonight i had a big fun on the game... and that been a long time.

as we can see he is playing offline, and that happen to me too. online and offline..
And my posts are 100% positives and constructives i just want that everybody has this issue and EA teams invastigate on that input lag for real because i think we are a several amounts of poeples to have it... it is not everyones has this issues.. but it is existing..

i have the exact same problem. I have 5ms in the game but it feels like 100ms... It's very slow, even my dangler with elite edge move like an enforcer. 50% of my games or more are like that. 😭

Honestly - the lag you're showing here looks like it's the response time on your TV. Check your TV settings and ensure it's on game-mode. Often times, the HDR mode on some TV's will introduce a lag between controller inputs and what shows on the screen. This is due to your TV post-processing the image from the console. Game Mode will eliminate this, although you may not get the desired HDR effects.

FIFA suffers from the same thing, this is an EA issue.

Exact same here, but ping is usually 8-12ms..

Again i just finished a club game with my 94 speed dangler and the powerfoward the other side catched me super easy..
