Hey, @BarDownBrad72
That was just for the trailer. There is no first person view.
- brett84favre3 years agoSeasoned Traveler@EA_Aljo damn, I was curious about that after seeing it. I thought that would be fun to play with. What a bummer lol

It would be cool, but I think it would only be doable with VR. Otherwise, you'd have to use one of the sticks to move your head and the other to move your body. Kind of like an FPS. With one stick for shooting and one for skating, that would be really difficult in the current version of the game.

@EA_Aljo Fixed camera mode would be awesome if we could control the camera changes with the select/view button. I love when it's following you over your shoulder. I hate when it auto-switches to the blue line camera though.

Hey just an FYI, but the original NHL EASHL(might have been NHL 08) had a third person view that was cool. Wasn't as good as the trailer but was pretty tight!

The camera view shouldn't be switching without you making that change. What system are you on?

Xbox Series X. I'm not talking about the EASHL camera though. It's the fixed camera view that you can use in BeAPro (not sure if we can use it in EASHL, but I know we used to be able to). I've linked a video of the issue below. When the camera switches, it's not me making the switch. I would just like control over it the same way you can control the camera in EASHL. Not sure if it's a difficult adjustment for you guys.
Switching auto-zoom off doesn't do anything too. In previous releases, we use to be able to keep the camera fixed above the player's head without it auto-switching. It was one of my favorite features.

I see what you mean. Have you tried hitting the View button? That's the small one to the lower left of the Guide button. That changes the camera focus between the puck and your player. However, I'm not sure how it works in BaP with that camera so it might not help.

I have. The view button unfortunately doesn't do anything to help.
In BeAPro, the view button does nothing.
In EASHL, it just shifts to follow the puck instead of the player. It still does the auto-camera changes the same though.
I don't know if it's necessarily a bug or anything. It's just the way the fixed camera is programmed now. I don't know if it was intended to be this way or simply overlooked. Like I said, I know it worked in previous iterations of the game (I believe it stopped working well when they switched from the NBC broadcast package). Someone on another forum said he believe NHL 16 may have been the last game it worked though.
Realistically, I would never use the camera in EASHL because it makes the game a lot harder. However, in BeAPro, it's truly an awesome experience. The camera changes just kill it though.
Edit: Went back to check if it was in NHL 16 and it wasn't. Might have been NHL 14 on 360 tbh.
